Description

Rose's Cottage is a 4 star traditional Irish Cottage with charming features and panoramic views of the picturesque Lough Swilly and the Urris hills. It is an ideal location for walking, golfing, surfing, cycling bird watching and horseriding and relaxing by the beach and is a perfect dwelling for an activity-based break, a family holiday, or a relaxing vacation. There are 2 family rooms plus 1 double room (all ensuite) and sleeps 8. This cottage comes with an open plan living and dining area with a blend of stone and timber and enhanced with a wood burning stove to give a most homely setting. The property also features a Jacuzzi bath, antique iron beds and complimentary fixtures and fittings. Disabled/Wet Room facilities are also included.

Phil's Barn is a charming 4 star converted barn retaining its original traditional features. It is a cosy first floor living accommodation and possesses panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean from its adjoining patio. It is both ideal for a romantic breaks or relaxing vacations and is in prime location for walking or hill walking, golfing, surfing bird watching horseriding, and relaxing by the beach. The property has 2 double ensuite rooms and can sleep 4. Phil's Barn can also be booked together with the larger Rose's Cottage to accommodate up to 12 people. These holiday homes are also set at the foot of Dunaff Hill, which unspoiled, peaceful and also possess beautiful sea views in all weathers.

“Idyllic area, beautiful views, luxurious accomodation... Perfect!”

We rented the cottages for our pre-wedding stay in Donegal, with a few members of our extended family and their children. The place was perfect for the kids and the adults! Ann bent over backwards to make our stay happy and enjoyable, doing her best to rectify any issues we had with the accomodation as soon as she could. The properties were both extremely tastefully decorated and maintained and managed to be homely and welcoming for adults and children alike. The views of the bay from the balcony in the smaller cottage and from the terrace on the larger cottage are to die for! Mountain, sea, bay, mountain, silence, country / sea air. Amazing! The location of the cottage is 'isolated' - which was exactly what we had been looking for! You will need a car to get to and from the cottages to anywhere else. The local amenities consist of the local post office (5 mins drive) and the larger town of Clonmany (10-15 mins drive away). LOADS of beaches and beauty spots within 5 - 10mins drive from the cottages. Best part: The house, the area, the views, the air... Watch out for: Showers need to be operated individually! Be warned or there is the possibility of blowing the fuse box.
