The Brittany region
Brittany is steeped in historical and beautiful sites. The medieval town of Josselin with its Chateau is one of many local towns that warrant a visit. On the west coast, you will find Quimper with its cathedrals and churches or the charming historical fishing port of Concarneau.
For the beach enthusiasts, the rugged north coast with its pink granite rock and long sandy beaches is spectacular. A change of scenery on the south west coast will take you to Port Louis and Carnac both of which have great beach areas suitable for families.
The surrounding area for this property is beautiful with many woodland walks and paths including over 300Km of VTT cycling circuits for those wanting to explore. The forest de Quenecan on which the property backs on to covers an area of 3,000 Ha plus. Close by, you will find Lake Guerledan, the largest lake in Brittany. There you will find a selection of beaches, watersports and good restaurants.
A 10 minute drive, you will arrive at the historical site of the Abbay Bon Repos situated on the Nantes Brest canal. In August, you can experience the spectacular sound and light show. A show not to be missed! On Sunday's there is the market and the option to take in a light refreshment whilst listening to the live music at the cafe.

"A Haven of Peace and tranquility"
I was impressed by the reviews of Toulehet from TA and was not disappointed. The detached house with its gardens and location was exactly what I wanted. The house is spacious and the south facing terrace is a real sun trap. The house is very well furnished and provides every thing you need for a holiday. the shower in particular vis superb . The provision of Sky Freeview TV is useful if only to keep up with the news. Theowners have thoughtfully included a DVD player in their itinery. The most important asset of this property are the owners themselves who made us feel so welcome . They were on hand should we need them for advice and suggestions for places to visit but at the same time not intrusive. . Yes you need a car to get around but there are plenty of local walks to enjoy. . I would highly recommend this property both for couples and families. If anyone is hinking of booking this property please do not hesitate to contact me with any query. Graham Rhodes

We stayed at this cottage for 10 delightful days. The cottage is set in a magical forest garden with walks that are accessed from the property. The cottage was clean and welcoming with English TV and everything that you need. The bedrooms were lovely with very comfy beds. Carol and Dave were very friendly and helpful they even booked our Labrador into the vets for us (for return journey home vet check). The patio area is a true suntrap and is where we spent all our time in the sun and having alfresco meals and a few drinks. The property is set in a wonderful area that is quiet and very relaxing, but still only 10 minutes from shops. The only niggle we had was with the tin opener it was rubbish. It took my husband 30 frustrating minutes to open one tin of tuna, which I found very amusing. We loved the place it was our first time to France, but not our last. Best holiday we have had.
