Description

Situated on the historic Humberston Fitties which is a unique conservation area on the Lincolnshire coast, the 'Dunes' is a comfortable, well equipped and smart Beach Chalet. It was totally renovated and remodelled for our use when we lived in the South of England. Having now moved our main residence to Lincolnshire we have decided to rent it to guests who have an appreciation of the coast and nearby nature reserve.

It is perfect for families with all the entertainment and seaside fun, restaurants and facilities of Cleethorpes which is minutes away. There are even donkeys on the beach!

However the chalet is also perfect for a relaxing getaway!

The owners can supply a cot and highchair if necessary and toys are available. We also supply two well serviced bicycles for use on the nearby cycle path.

A well behaved dog is welcome (dogs are allowed onto Humberston Beach) on the understanding that they do not sleep in bedrooms or on the sofas.

Humberston Fitties is a truly special community with longer term residents ensuring the area is well cared for and safe. The Dunes proximaty to the beach - the closest it is possible to be in the whole area- provides a wonderful traditional holiday experience and all our visitors so far can not wait to come back!

PLease note: We take the safety of our guests seriously. The Dunes has up to date safety certificates and smoke detectors and was recently rewired. A local manager will normally be available.

Getting around

There is a small road train loved by children but also useful for big kids too. It runs from near the closest shop on Thorpe Park. A 2 min walk. A car is recommended although there is also a bus service running between Thorpe Park and the centre of Cleethorpes which is regular. There are 2 bikes at the Chalet and an off road cycle path from the Cleethorpes end of the Fitties.

House rules

Our chalet has longer term residents nearby who are very tolerant of noise from children playing and of people sitting outside until about 11.00pm talking. However, we would request that guests refrain from making loud noise or playing music outside after this time. This is not a young peoples party location and we would ask all visitors to ensure they do not make noise between 11.00pm and 8.00am in order to respect the occupants of other chalets.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Pauline (the owner) a message.

If Pauline (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
