Description

The Lodge is an architect-designed, environmentally-friendly, detached log house, with an all-wood interior and exterior, making it very warm and comfortable. It even boasts its own wind turbine. Spacious, bright and set within the rural, crofting township of Clachamish and offers views over the open countryside. This is a tranquil location to relax or explore the island. Shop 10 miles, pub and restaurant 3 miles.A Midge-Buster device keeps the grounds virtually midge free throughout the yearGround floor: Living room with wooden floor. Dining room/kitchen with wooden floor. 1 double bedroom with en-suite shower room and toilet. Separate toilet with bidet. Open-tread stairs to :-First floor: Mezzanine with pool table. 2 bedrooms: 1 double with en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and toilet, 1 twin with en-suite bathroom with roll-top bath, shower cubicle and toilet.The heating is eco-source underfloor CH throughout the house Freesat TV. DVD. Radio, Elec cooker. Toaster, M/wave. W/machine. D/washer. F/freezer. Broadband connection with WiFi. Telephone for local calls. Natural grounds with sitting-out area.

Parking (3 cars). Bed linen and towels are provided as well as soap & shampoo together with hairdryers in all bedrooms.

There is a broadband connection with unlimited download and phone calls are free for local & national numbers.

Length of stay - Bookings in periods of one week, Saturday-Saturday - except for Xmas/New Year where there is a minimum of 4 nights.

The basic Saturday changeover day still applies because of cleaning arrangements. So bookings cannot span the Sat/Sun days.

A security deposit of £150 is required two weeks before trhe arrival date. I will email appropriate details when this occurs. In the absence of any claim for damage, the whole amount will be refunded on the Tuesday after departure. If there is a claim for damage, you will be informed immediately on the Monday morning after departure. Any claim will be accompanied by photographs of any damage related to the claim. Breakages of minor items such as cups, saucers or general glasses will not be considered for a claim. I prefer to handle deposits this way since :- 1. The deposit isn't in TripAdvisors bank account for weeks 2. I repay the deposit 3 days after departure instead of the 10 days of H.L.
