Description from owner

Description

When we designed this property we had a large family villa with lots of space in mind. Since then, as the children grew up we have modified and improved it , but still considering the needs of the new younger family members .
Located in a quiet residential area within walking distance to shops, bars and restaurants , but not too near as to be disturbed by them. In the other direction within a 5 min walk you are in the Spanish countryside, ( El Campo) no traffic just nature. We chose this plot because of it's location in as much as near to social life and near to nature, the villa sits on the brow of a hill giving views over the salt lagoons, the country and the sea. The plot is a generous 1,000m2, that]s about a quarter of an acre. Through the gates the drive will fit 2 decent sized cars, a path leads to the pool area , an 8x4m pool with roman end , moulded seats and drinks table and moulded lounger with air jets( all inside the pool) . The patios around the pool are spacious

Through the gates the drive will fit 2 decent sized cars, a path leads to the pool area , an 8x4m pool with roman end , moulded seats and drinks table and moulded lounger with air jets( all inside the pool) . The patios around the pool are spacious with 10 sun beds, parasols, raised flower beds and gardens.
To the left, down stairs is the entrance to the self contained apartment, more about that later.
Around to the left of the villa is a pathway , through an arch and into the jacuzzi area, un- overlooked, with lights bubbles water jets Etc.,from there up 3 stairs, through another arch to the outside bar and BBQ area. Here we have a daybed, seating for 16 people , 2 dining tables, bench drinks table and of course the bar and BBQ.The garden furniture here is mainly rustic, subtle lighting, CD-radio,small TV and DVD player. The bar I designed and built, using rustic style bricks and topped off with pink granite ,3 quartered covered by a small roof supported by brick pillars,to give an andalucian patio garden affect (see photos) Behind the bar there are bottle chillers, a fridge, beer cooler and space for beer barrels and pump, on the bar is the beet tap. The BBQ is an american old Oklahoma model, big enough to cook for the whole family..from there past the BBQ is another archway leading to a quiet sitting area , through here we have a sheltered patio for the laundry line, out of sight ???
INTO THE VILLA, from the bar area up a few steps we enter into the kitchen, fully fitted to very high standard, Italian marble tiles to the walls, top range floor tiles, large oven and hob, extractor fan, dishwasher, microwave, table and 4 chairs cutlery crockery and cookware lots of utencils etc..Then into the separate utility room comprising of large family fridge freezer, washing machine, sink ,ironing board and laundry cupboards. From the kitchen into the dinning room with seating for 6, table can extend, straight ahead to the single bedroom with en suite shower room, back to the dinning room and into the lounge (very spacious) to the right into the family suite, again very large, 2 single beds and a double sofa bed, large flats screen TV ,DVD, en suit luxury bathroom, back into the lounge,2 very comfortable large sofas, antique coffee table and an armchair, this room we chose not to put a TV or music in, from there into the conservatory, here we have flat screen TV, with sky FTV channels, DVD, 3 large sofas and 2 armchairs, front door to steps leading back to pool area and drive.large windows overlooking the pool and patios.
Upstairs large shower room. bedroom 2 has a double bed and enough space to add a single bed or cot , upon request..
bedroom 1 super king sized bed , enough space to add single bed or cot as above.
Both have ample wardrobes and both have doors leading onto the large top sun balcony overlooking the pool and salt lagoons and sea.
both bedrooms.
Back to the self contained apartment, remember? outside is a small covered patio, into the front room ,kitchenette, sofa bed TV, DVD, microwave ,kettle, toaster, sink . bathroom ,bedroom with a double bed.
THE GAMES ROOM has a separate entrance from the side of the villa , contains a mini bar fridge, a CD radio cassette, dart board and a full sized recently refurbished snooker table.
NEW FOR 2015. Ready 05/01/2015. SEPARATE PLAY ROOM WITH POOL TABLE, AIR HOCKEY TABLE, TV GAMES CONSULS AND SHOWER ROOM
WI-FI throughout the villa, aircon in most rooms, emergency alarm and a DVD library.
That[s about all I can think of for now , hope you didn't find it too boring.

The Valencian Country region

The Cost Blanca boast one of the healthiest climates in the world, according to the World health organisation The climate is warm and dry most of the year with just a short rainy season, even when it does rain normally within an hour you would never know it had. Due to the large investment in this region, the roads are relativly clear even in the busiest time of year, whether it be on the motorway or the b roads, with excelent links to all major towns and cities. The medical system here is second to none, with lot of new hostpitals and medicals centers and some of the best doctors and nurses in europe.
Many of the beaches bold the coverted blue flag award, some busy and some almost deserted, but all clean, again its up to you to choose the right scene for yourself.
All along the coast and into the interior there are many golf courses, again if thats your interest just go onto google and find out just how many there are to choose from.
As far a culture goes just drive into Alicante, Elche, Cartegena or Murcia and explore, there is a lot more to these cities than just shops, there are many castles, chuches, museums and historic site throughout the region. Bere in mind the possition spain had played throughout history. The whole region has many fiestas ,it will depend on when you plan to visit, but if you make the effort to find out, the odds are you will find one not too far away.
Life here in general is very laid back and the people are very happy and friendly, but then why souldn' t they be ?
I hope this gives you a short insight to where I live and one day, I hope you can experience it too.

“Perfect villa”

Reviewed 29 Jun 2015

I have just returned from a wonderful stay at this villa, along with 11 other family members including 4 young children. From the very moment we arrived, Rick and Lisa were friendly and welcoming. This attitude continued for the duration of our stay. Nothing was too much for them and if anything was required from them, they went out of their way to help out without being intrusive. When staying at somebody else's villa, it is more relaxing when you know the owners aren't tyrannical. The villa itself is perfect, it really does have everything you could think of or need. Rick and Lisa have thought of everything and if there is something missing, let them know and they will try to source it. The pool area is beautiful and gets sunshine on it for most of the day. The pool is well sized and plenty of sun loungers are provided. This area also has a trampoline for the kids, a table tennis table, a football table (well placed in the shade) and the entrances to the self contained flat and the games room. To the back of the property is the bar and outdoor dining area, complete with draught beer tap, chiller and a large bbq/smoker. You'll get plenty of sun here too but, importantly, is also a great place to sit in the shade with a cold beer when the sun gets too hot. The villa has been well designed indoors in order to provide space for each guest. Each bedroom is en suite to give you a little extra privacy and each is air conditioned. Hours before we arrived, Rick and Lisa obtained 4 bicycles and these were great for making little trips to the supermarkets nearby. It's these little touches that make this villa so great. I hope I get to return in the near future.

Thank you for your review. It was so nice to see a large family enjoying the villa for the purpose it was designed for. keep practising the Spanish , you were doing realy good. Love to all the family. Lisa and Rick.

“THE MOST FANTASTIC VILLA TO STAY IN”

Reviewed 22 Jun 2015

We traveled as a large group, mixture of teenagers, parents and toddlers......the villa catered for us all :-) The BBQ area was lovely, the perfect place to relax at the end of a day round the pool The pool area was lovely, plenty of beds to lounge on and a table with brolly for shade, the seat an table in the pool was perfect to sit and cool down There was more than plenty for the children to do, with the pool table, snooker table, play station and nintendo wii too, trampoline! the kids loved it Thank you for such a lovely time

Thank you for your reveiw and look forward to you staying again. Warm regards Lisa and Rick/

“Loved everything available, even the weather was hot, sun and blue sky's”

Reviewed 9 Apr 2015

We loved everything about the villa and as a group of friends the location, although quiet was exactly what we wanted. Shops and bars were near enough to walk too, but the villa had everything for a great party week celebrating our friends 50th birthday. The weather was brillient so we didn't really move much from the villa, taxi's available, but a hire care should be considered if the weather goes against you. Our hosts were great in meeting us, making us feel at ease and showing us round the villa.

Thank you, so glad you enjoyed your stay, I think April is the perfect time of year for the weather , not too hot or cool. We would be happy to have you as guests again. Warm regards, Lisa and Rick

“Whats not to like?!”

Reviewed 15 Jan 2015

Extremely spacious, well maintained, bar area is the perfect hub for enjoying meals with the family, with a table and chairs, plus additional seats under cover for those who rather sun bathe in the shade. Within the bar area is the best barbeque I have ever seen. Not to mention the facility to have your own draft beer, in addition there is a large beer fridge. Swimming pool and Jacuzzi perfect!! We will be back!

“Fabulous villa”

Reviewed 11 Aug 2014

We stayed at Lisa and Ricks villa with our 3 daughters, their husbands and 6 grandchildren, to celebrate my husbands 70th birthday, and had a fabulous time. The villa is gorgeous, most of our time was spent round the pool or the fantastic bar area, which was perfect for us.Lisa and Rick were brilliant, nothing was too much trouble. Thank you both for everything.

“Fabulous villa - perfect holiday”

Reviewed 25 Feb 2014

We came to Spain four times last year staying in different villas, and its rare that the villa in Spain actually lives up to the photos on the website, but this one certainly did. The villa is situated in the nice part of Quesada. Its a short drive, or walk-able to the shops. The wifi speed was brilliant and facilities were great. It was a little too chilly to use the outdoor pool because we stayed out of season, but the kids got lots of use out of the hot tub!

“Excellent villa”

Reviewed 26 Nov 2013

Rick and Lisa are a bonza Brit couple who go the extra mile to make your stay as good as possible. The facilities at the villa are first class and the draught lager tap saves a pile of time not lugging bottles and cans around. The snooker table is in prime condition and is equiped with all the necessary accessories. We stayed here a month and it seemed like a week. I would recommend this villa to anybody.
