Prehen House is a Grade A listed building and described by the Ulster Architectural Heritage Society as a national treasure. Home to the legend of Half-Hanged McNaughton, it is thought to have inspired elements to the novel, Wuthering Heights. Guests to the Coach house are offered a tour at reasonable times.

Two miles from the City Centre and next to Derry City's championship golf course. Enjoy peaceful country living and be close to the City. Taxis from £3.50/five minutes to the City Centre. Prehen Wood's nature trail and Riverwatch nearby. Easy access to the Faughan river and tributaries for trout and salmon fishing. Minutes walk away from the luxury Everglades Hotel bar and restaurant. Derry is an ideal base to explore both the Causway coast and Donegal. Glenveagh National Park is a one hour drive from Derry.

The Department of the Environment conducted an archaeological excavation of the recently discovered Plantation Fort nearby.

£450 per week, £120 one night only otherwise £85 per night.

Bed and Breakfast: £35 per night per person sharing. £50 per night single occupancy. Price includes continental breakfast.

Other Things to Note. AND... please read this and look at the pictures...:
There is a large leaky bath but no shower, wifi or television. The property is unsuitable for guests requiring modern facilities. The property is surrounded by woods (and insects that occasionally lose there way into the cottage) The woodstove in the Coach Room needs some experience. This is not for everyone. Much of the furniture is old but friendly to children and adults who want somewhere to ljump up and down Some guests have and do complain about the above: others are delighted. If it is not booked and there is good weather, I have my holidays there.
