In a quiet spot in the heart of Cirencester, Cotswold Place dates back to the 17th century. Beautifully restored it not only oozes character but provides the highest quality accommodation.

An atmospheric living area has a soft velvet sofa, antiques and original art beneath ancient beams. For cold nights there is a log stove. On sunny days relax in a private courtyard. Full of historic charm this is a perfect base for a Cirencester stay

The owners, an art advisor and interior designer, have taken great care in creating a unique interior of great style in a restoration of the highest quality. Original features have been retained with beamed ceilings, exposed Cotswold stone walls and old fireplaces.

The idyllic bedroom has a 19th century brass bed with a romantically themed painted headboard and footboard. There is a ultra comfortable Caspar mattress with crisp white Soak and Sleep linen.

Gold anglepoise lamps sit on antique 'Arts & Crafts' side tables. Overhead a vintage French crystal chandelier illuminates the 17th century beams and a cotswold stone wall.

The second bedroom has a John Lewis bed and luxury Eve mattress.

In the lounge there is a velvet sofa, antique Persian rug, 18th century dining table and chairs, interesting antiques, fine art and classic books. Lighting is discrete whilst a log stove provides a delightful atmosphere. The lounge windows overlook Cricklade Street and there is occasional modest street noise.

The kitchen is all new, fully fitted and has all usual facilities plus extras like a Nespresso machine and frother, Nutribullet, dishwasher and washer/dryer.

The bathroom features a full bath, stand-up shower with glass screen, loads of hot water, deep-pile towels and quality toiletries from Cole & Lewis White Collection.

The latest Sony LED TV, with freeview is located in the living room together with a bluray DVD player and lots of varied films. There is unlimited free wi-fi. For music there is a full choice with digital Roberts radio, bluetooth stereo speakers, CD player and a CD collection

For storage the main bedroom has wall hooks and some drawers. The 2nd bedroom has a small wardrobe. When one bedroom only is booked for a 2 person stay guests have access to the 2nd bedroom for storage but we ask that the bed is not used in any way.

The apartment is located on a quiet road within a minutes walk of the very heart of historic Cirencester and all of its varied shopping and dining facilities.

Close to town, country pub dining is available at The Bell at Sapperton, Wild Duck, Trouble House Inn, Potting Shed and Village Pub Barnsley, all within 10 mins drive. For fine dining try Barnsley House, Calcot Manor or The Rectory.

Within half an hour are the widely varied attractions of the entire Cotswold region. The cities of Bath, Bristol & Cheltenham are all within one hours drive.

Babes in arms and small well behaved pets possible upon request. There is a pet charge of £30 per pet per stay, payable upon confirmation and subject to acceptance. No child facilities of any sort are provided.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If MARTIN (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
