CASA DA POVOA-CINFÃES House was made by my Grandfather 6 This in 1700. This is a beautiful Manor House that represents the typical architecture of the time, in the region of DOURO Litoral. The beautiful stone Crest that is placed over the door of the chapel represents the arms of the Family like grandfather's time.

The House is situated in the DOURO region and is part of a farm with 100ha and making 2000 meters of shore with Duero River.

In front of the balconies of the House, approximately 1000 meters is the hydro-electric Dam from the "Carrapatelo" lagoon, with locks to allow the passage of ships of tourism and Commerce up to 90 feet long.

On the site "GOOGLE EARTH",, you can see the position of the House of Peoples at latitude 41° 04 ' N – "49.97 ( -41.080858);

Longitude: 08° 08 ' 50.64 "W – ( -8.147320).

Nearby about 30 miles is to celebrate the DOURO region which produces the famous port wine, appreciated worldwide. This is the region of the DOURO WINE REGION, UNESCO World Heritage the House has 5 fully equipped rooms, one with a double bed and personalized attached bathroom, one with double bed and 3 rooms with 2 beds the House has 5 rooms also being an incoming, living room, dining room and the old kitchen, now transformed into the living room while the fireplace is in operation. Replacing a kitchen with all the necessary equipment for a modern kitchen.Please note also that there is a maid who lives in a house located in the garden. Usually comes to the House and when there are guests prepares the House. It also makes the change of bed linen and towels in the middle and end-of-week. These days also makes a light cleaning in the kitchen, bathroom and room cleaning.

At the request of the guests and for direct hit with them can provide domestic services including Cook. She cooks pretty much typical dishes of the region.

The big garden with fruit trees, Orange, Tangerine, peach, cherry lemon trees, etc.

The garden has a large lawn. and a well placed pool with beautiful view over the River House is located 8 km from the village of Cinfães where you can find supermarkets, and good restaurants with typical dishes of the region.

Walks along the River are possible make of automobile or train in order to see the show of famous vineyards where port wine is produced. You can also visit some farms ", where it produces the Douro wine. It is usually offered a wine tasting.

Nearby there are magnificent restaurants.

About 30 km you can visit the city of Amarante, with its beautiful historic centre. Lamego also in another direction is worthy of a visit.

Also Guimarães, Braga and Porto are relatively close given the existence of new highways that allow access very fast.

River trips on the River are possible and advised. There are several types of tours: sites, or on ships moving between Porto and Barca d'alva Ruler
