Description

Bryn Aber Bach is a Grade 2 listed, historic stone built cottage in the centre of a small rural hamlet within a conservation area. The cottage was renovated from a ruinous state in 2008 using traditional skills and materials and with an emphasis on 'green' values. It is graded 4* by the Welsh Tourist authority.

The property has oil-fired central heating but also a wood-burner stove in the living room which makes it very cosy. The main bedroom is roomy and has an ensuite bathroom with bath, washbasin and wc. The second bedroom has twin beds and an ensuite shower room with washbasin and wc. Bed linen and towels are supplied. Off road parking is available for 2 cars.

Outside is a raised rear terrace with views over the churchyard to a wooded hill and the famous Well of St Gybi, immersion in which is said to have healing powers! There is a gas bbq. There is also shared use of a larger garden across the road from Bryn Aber Bach and its parent house, Bryn Aber. This has

The area is rural with quiet country lanes ideal for cyclists. The coast, with many fine beaches, is no more than 5 miles away and there is a choice of shops in the town of Pwllheli. The Snowdonia National Park is approximately 15 miles away and local places of interest include the castles at Criccieth, Harlech and Caernarfon and the narrow gauge steam railways from Porthmadog to Caernarfon and Blaenau Ffestiniog

“Cosy comfy cottage - home from home”

Reviewed 14 Nov 2016

we really enjoyed our stay, however we weren't in the cottage much. but it was comfy and toasty warm upstairs all the time, downstairs warmed up fast when the heating was on. cottage was a home from home, not spotlessly clean or posh but that made us more comfortable in it. we felt like we could treat it like our own home. yes there's a few spiders and cobwebs but even for me who is scared of them they werent a problem. lovely church right next door. not much here to do but a lovely base
