“A lovely cottage in a peaceful countryside.”

Reviewed 29 Sep 2016

We were made very welcome by the owners at this lovely, well equipped cottage situated in beautiful and peaceful countryside. The local pub was in walking distance, but care was needed on the main road which didn't have a pavement all the way. The pub had an excellent range of ales, the food was excellent, home cooked and the owners and locals were very welcoming. Best of all it was a dog friendly venue as were most of the similar outlets in the area. The Shropshire Hills region was excellent for walking with our dog and the local towns were well worth visiting. For those who enjoy golf, Church Stretton course is not to be missed. Never mind the score, the views are stunning - enjoy. Wifi access was somewhat hit and miss, but what the heck, we were on holiday. All round a very enjoyable holiday from a well situated cottage.

“A great cottage in a beautiful location for exploring the Shropshire hills”

Reviewed 5 Jul 2016

I booked brook cottage as a weekend escape & it didn't disappoint. Mel, Dan their children & barney the dog were very friendly & welcoming. The tea, fruit & cake on arrival was very thoughtful. The cottage was immaculate & incredibly clean. It's furnished in a traditional but fresh way. We had such a relaxed few days away. Eating breakfast al fresco & we were also fortunate to cook our pizza in the wood burning oven. After a day's walking/ exploring It was a lovely place to go back to & relax. A great location for exploring the Shropshire hills with walks for all different abilities & distances. Ludlow and Shrewsbury are only 25 minutes away. A truly refreshing break away & I'm sure I'll visit again. None of us wanted to leave, would highly recommended.
