From the owner

Dating back to the 15th century, this cottage oozes with character. It is situated at 1,175 ft on the single-track Kerry Ridgeway, an ancient drovers' road through Wales into Shropshire.

The cottage has spectacular views over the hills of Montgomeryshire and Shropshire. It is an ideal touring base for the Welsh Marches, the castles, mountains and coastline of mid and north Wales, and the historic towns of Ludlow, Shrewsbury and Bishops Castle. Just 500 yards from a beautiful section of the Offa's Dyke national footpath, it is also an ideal base for walkers.

The cottage has been tactfully refurbished to modern standards to provide accommodation for 5 adults while retaining the ancient character. A modern staircase provides easy access the upstairs bedrooms.

There is a good-sized open-plan kitchen with inglenook and living room with wood-burning stove, a large utility room, 3 well equipped bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, utility room and two gardens. The upstairs bedrooms have spellbinding views over the Vale of Montgomery and Corndon Hill.

The second bedroom can be arranged as twin single beds or, on request, as a super-kingsize double.

Kitchen has dishwasher, microwave, electric oven and hob. Good wifi broadband. 4G phone reception. Satellite TV, DVD, radio, bluetooth speaker. Central heating, off-lane parking, pets allowed by arrangement (£10 per week).

The utility room is accessible from main part of house and via separate entrance door. It has washing machine, tumble dryer, freezer, ironing boad/iron. Boot dryer cabinet. Dog bed.

Dogs are welcome.

Outside, a lovely summerhouse/log cabin with comfy conservatory furniture provides additional living space and tranquility, and more beautiful views over the valley and hills.
