Description

A two bedroomed luxury lodge, situated in the much sought after Sandhills Park. The lodge is in a quiet shady location in the centre of the park with easy access to the club room, pool and beach. The balcony/deck is part sun and part shade and has a small glimpse of Christchurch Harbour.

Two minutes walk away is beautiful Avon Beach and Mudeford Quay, offering ferry access to Hengistbury Head, Christchurch and Tuckton.

Sandhills Park is small, quiet and family friendly. There is a heated swimming pool (open May - October), a children's pool with Lifeguard, a gym, a children's play area and a coffee lounge and bar.

The lodge is extremely well equipped with a modern kitchen including American style Fridge Freezer, Microwave, Washer/Dryer and Dishwasher. The living room is large, bright and airy, with two comfortable sofas, a 49" TV with Freeview and DVD Player. The main bedroom has a TV, walk in wardrobe and ensuite shower room. The small bedroom has twin beds.

I can supply bed linen from March to October (you will have to bring your own from November to January as the service is closed). I am unable to supply towels at any time so you will have to bring your own.

Getting around

If you walk out of the campsite you are directly on Avon beach. A short walk will take you to Mudeford Quay, from which you can take a ferry to Hengistbury Head - they go every 12 minutes. From Hengistbury head you can take a land train through the scenery, or you can also take another ferry to Christchurch (for shopping and eating) or to Tuckton Tea Gardens (just a nice boat trip with a cafe at the end). Christchurch is about 2 miles away by car - lovely place to shop and eat - but don't go on Monday as it is market day and parking is almost impossible

Interaction with guest

I am not on site, but the staff at Sandhills are amazing. You can pick up your keys from Reception, or from behind the bar if nobody is on the desk. They have excellent local knowledge and will point you in the right direction for sightseeing, eating out or whatever you need. They will also direct you to your private parking space, not right next to the lodge, but very close.

“Park the car for the entire stay and relax!”

Meridies is pristine - clean as a whistle - and with all you need for a perfect holiday, especially the dishwasher and washing machine and full sized (Giant Sized actually) Fridge and Matching Freezer). Just a hop,skip,and jump to the promenade and beach literally! We usually go to the Dorset Coast for day trips and never look forward to the arduous evening drive home. So the driver (me) enjoyed instead, taking a slow walk along the prom at dusk knowing "home" was only feet away! Thanks Debbie for a well-earned rest! Even the niegbours were friendly.

We spent a week enjoying being with family. Despite some bad weather we were able to visit the Oceanarium in Bournemouth, and to go into the New Forest. On the good days we just enjoyed being on the beach. The children swam on the pool even in the rain and loved it, we adults loved the Noisy Lobster restaurant. Thank you

The week in this lodge was every bit as lovely as I hoped A cosy little home a few yards from the sea The lodge had all I needed in the way of facilities including very efficient heating a bath and shower and lots of TVs channels for when I felt lazy Christchurch and the New Forest are all very close

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
