The villa is just near the seaside with an unobstructed sea view and is set in a lovely peaceful area - perfect if you are looking for a relaxing holiday. There is a private pool and plenty of space inside and out, which will make your stay here very comfortable.

Outside, Shimmering Sun has enclosed private gardens to the rear and to the front of the property, both landscaped with mature plantings/hedging for privacy and there is a bar-be-que and a shaded seating area, where you can dine and take in the gorgeous views.

Arrival welcome packs and mid-stay cleans/linens can be provided for an additional charge. Air conditioning is included within the rental rates.

Regular pool cleaning is carried out to EU standards and we are on hand for you 24/7 if ever you need us.

The Paphos District

Cyprus enjoys year round sunshine, the holiday season is typically March to November, although people do spend Christmas in Paphos as it does not shut down for the winter like the resorts on the other side of the Island such as Ayia Napa.

The Island of Cyprus has many historical places of interest linked to fascinating Greek Mythology such as Mount Olympus, The Birthplace of Aphrodite & The Baths of Adonis to name but a few.

Chlorakas

The harbour at Paphos attracts visitors all year round, who take the opportunity to walk along the quay and maybe visit one of the fish restaurants, tavernas or cafes. The view is superb, with lots of colourful fishing boats bobbing in the harbour. The castle is in fact all that remains of a much earlier castle dating from 1391, which was demolished by the Venetians. The Ottomans used it as dungeons and the British as a warehouse for salt! It can be reached via a small bridge over a moat and is worth a visit for the view from the top.

“Wonderful”

I stayed here with my husband and two young boys (9 and 6). We travelled to paphos for a friends wedding and while all the other party opted for hotels we decided on a villa for the first time. All i can say is that we are fully converted, the villa its self was very clean, well equiped and lovely setting. As a woman i loved the home comforts of washing machine, dishwisher, air conditioning etc, my husband loved the private sun terrace and bbq and my sons loved the clean pool (this was cleaned every other day) and gardens. Although a little further from main street and habour than i would have liked, the paphos bus service made up for this. With a short walk to bus stop and only 1 euro per adult (3 euros for a day ticket) to take you anywhere between Coral bay and the water park in paphos you really couldn't grumble. As in other reviews there is a Lidl not for along the main road, but we found the supermarket by the habour alot cheaper and superior. If you like beaches you must hop on the bus to coral bay beach, lovely family beach with showers and resturants. The habour is lovely at night to eat, drink or just a nice stroll along the front. The caretakers where helpful and on hand when needed. All in all a great holiday had by all and the villa is a credit to the owner, Thankyou

What a delightful experience, shimmering sun villa is what it says it is, with the sun on the lovely clean pool most of the day and fantastic sunsets in the evening, which we watched from the balcony, or took a two minute stroll to the sea to watch. The villa itself is gorgeous, very clean, modern, very well equipped and maintained to a very high standard. The gardens are beautifully landscaped and the outside dining area is a real treat. There is a Lidl just a short drive away who sell lots of great stuff to cook on the Cypriot barbecue, which we used a lot. and a kiosk just a short walk up the road. Coral bay and Pathos are not to far away in either direction along the coastal road, so theres lots to do, and a drive to the Troodos mountains is a must, spectacular. We went in late June 2012 to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary with our family, i am so glad we chose to stay here, it really made it for us. the staff at Cyprus villas were great, very helpful and friendly from beginning to end, we had never hired a villa before and they made it so easy.

“Excellent Villa and Good Value For Money”

This is a stunning villa in a beautiful location. My sister was getting married in the nearby St. George hotel so it was perfect for us. It has a private pool and the sunset villas development really lives up to its name - a gorgeous sunset every night. The pool area has sun loungers and a barbeque which we used a lot. Outside seating is comfortable and the outside dining area is a real plus. Inside, the villa has three bedrooms - two doubles (one en suite) and a twin. The bathrooms are spacious and the open plan kitchen / dining / living area is excellent as well. It's very close to the bus route into Paphos (2 euros for a day ticket) and taxis also tend to sit at the top of the road if you don't fancy getting the bus. The local supermarket is a five minute drive away up the hill in Chlorakas (the Papantoniou supermarket is far superior to the Lidl that's just opened, by the way!) However, communication from the owner could be better at times. Wi-fi is available for a charge, which we didn't bother with in the end. There is also a £250 refundable deposit to pay to cover the cost of any damage to the villa. I had to make several requests to get this back but did so about two and a half weeks after leaving the villa. That said, I would definitely rent this villa again - we had a great week.
