Description

"Crafty Cottage" is a cosy self catering cottage situated in the very heart of Chipping Campden. Occupying an enviable position in Sheep Street minutes away from the beautiful historic High Street and within easy walking distance of shops, tea rooms, pubs and restaurants. The Cottage provides comfortable accommodation for 2 people with the advantage of spacious off road parking and a private garden with seated area. Crafty Cottage took inspiration from the Arts and Crafts history of Chipping Campden which originated in the Old Silk Mill which straddles the stream beside the cottage. The land where the cottage now stands was once the yard for the Guildsmen (Charles Ashbee: Guild of Handicraft 1902) and has now been developed to a high standard, providing purpose built self catering accommodation to a traditional design, with modern facilities. The front door opens into the comfortable lounge area with cosy seating arranged around a Cotswold Stone fireplace and log burner. TV (freeview

Location description from owner

The Cotswolds region

Chipping Campden is an ideal town to use as a base when visiting the North Cotswold region. With villages such as Broadway, Stanton, Stanway and Snowshill within easy reach, alongside Stow on the Wold, Lower Slaughter and Bourton on the Water to name but a few. With its medieval Market Hall proudly standing beside the historic High Street, Chipping Campden is proud of its heritage and welcomes many visitors from all around the world. A small scattering of independently run shops, tea rooms, pubs and restaurants add to its charm. St James Church is one of the Wool Churches of the Cotswolds and the famous Cotswold Way footpath links in with many other routes making it the perfect place to follow trails which pass beautiful thatched cottages, and climbing out of the town up to the hills above for spectacular views.

Chipping Campden

Crafty Cottage is very central to Chipping Campden on Sheep Street which links the High Street to the Westington area of the town where several beautiful thatched cottages & colourful English Gardens are all within a very short walking distance from the cottage. The bus stop is on the High Street within a 5 minute walk and there is a taxi service available from the nearest Pub which is very near. Historical sites such as St. James Church, The Medieval Market Hall, The Arts & Crafts Museum & The Old Silk Mill are within easy walking distance.
