Location description from manager

The Tuscany region

Tuscany is well known for its natural beauty, delicious food and good quality wines. The historic and culturally rich cities of Lucca and Florence are close to visit as is Barga with its unspoiled streets and squares full of great charm and its 13th century Cathedral.

A trip to the coast takes you through breathtaking scenery and the quarries from which Michelangelo sourced the marble for his famous works of art. Viareggio is a popular seaside resort adjacent to Torre del Lago where Puccini lived and worked in his final years.

Chifenti

This is a wonderfully unique setting!

Located in the grounds of an old mill, some of which is still intact. There are still parts of the original aquaduct , and the house is set beside a stream which cascades into little pools (lovely for cooling off in!). Internally one can also see the original millstones.

There is loads of space for exploring, and walking and relaxing, and there is a feeling of pure peace, with just the sound of the stream cascading in the background.

Set high in the hills, overlooking countryside, and a mediaeval village below, and with the mountains in the background, this really is a heavenly location!

Whilst set in the depths of the countryside, amongst beech woods and chestnut trees, the site is located within wal

“Perfection!”

Reviewed 2 Oct 2014

We travelled a family of 3 initially, on a 3 week holiday. The scenery and location of the property was so stunning, that we invited both family and friends to join us! The house is newly refurbished, 4 floors, with enough bedrooms to house a big family/group. Easy access to big swimmingpool/pool area, which was a perfect way for us to relax. The property resides in an unspoiled area, and the view is towards purely nature. We can absolutely recommend this property to everyone wanting to experience the real Tuscany!
