New for 2018 Season - there are now shutters/blinds on all windows and all mattresses have been replaced!

We are a smoke-free, pet-free property situated just off the South West Coastal Path ideal for walkers.On the outskirts of Chickerell village with its local pubs, just a five minute drive to Weymouth town with its fantastic beach and picturesque harbour. Ideal base for touring the surrounding Dorset Countryisde and coastal towns & places such as Abbotsbury, Lyme Regis, Charmouth, Durdle Dor and Lulworth are all within reach via car. Close to Portland with its National Sailing Academy.

We really enjoyed our Easter weekend here in the barn,it had plenty of room for all of us ... Very clean and comfortable, the owner is very helpful and friendly ... Will definitely stay here again ...recommend to anyone of all ages

We stayed at the Stables. Sarah greeted us warmly on arrival, letting us in through the remote control secure gates. We were given a fob or could use the keypad to let ourselves in & out during our stay. The Stables is well equipped with all you need, it's clean & tidy with excellent facilities for the disabled. The bathrooms with the monsoon showers are fantastic. The kitchen has all you would expect from good self catering accommodation, with plenty of cupboard space for food (I have been to some places where they have thought of everything except a space for food storage!). There is a Morrisons and an ASDA a short drive away plus there is a local shop within walking distance. A couple of things would have made it a 5* like an up to date flat screen TV & WiFi really is a must these days. All in all a good location, easy to get to places like Portland Bill with a fantastic view along Chesil Beach, Lulworth Cove with Durdle Door is well worth a visit.

“Great Location for Seeing Dorset”

The property itself is really nice - clean, well equipped and comfortable with great views from the upstairs lounge over to the fleet lagoon. We were especially taken with the upstairs lounge (there is a downstairs one too) which was something we had never experienced. Just watch your head on the ceilings (took me a week to get used to it - ouch!). The location is great for touring Dorset. Either east - towards Lyme & WestBay, or west - towards Lulworth & Swanage. With the weather good we spent most time on the coast path. Weymouth & Portland are worth a look as well. Easy to get out to the roads from, there is a bit of traffic noise but wasn't disturbing us unduly. We'd certainly consider this again next time we holiday down here. Enjoy !

We were looking for a reasonably priced self catering holiday home for use over the Christmas week. After a good search I found Tidmoor Barn. On arrival Sarah was waiting for us and was able to give us lots of information about the area and also gave us a tour of the house. The bedrooms are spacious and the ground floor one is large enough to get a wheelchair round with ease. The upstairs double room is large and would easily accommodate a travel cot (folded in its bag in the room). The wet room on the ground floor is lovely as is the upstairs bathroom. A shower head tap on the bath would make hair washing easier. Both the ground floor and upstairs lounges were comfortable. The kitchen is ok, I was glad we were spending Christmas day with family in weymouth as there would be little room to cook anything much more than a simple meal. Could do with a few more glasses too. Parking was reasonably easy and felt very secure behind the electric gates. The view was lovely, across fields to the sea which was VERY lively that week. . As there are facilities for children (travel cots and a high chair) I would have liked to have seen gates at the top and bottom of the stairs, perhaps wooden ones which would match the staircase. Don't forget your towels as these are available at an extra cost It was a lovely place to stay, well positioned, comfortable and worthy of a second visit.

We stayed 9th Aug-16th Aug, two adults and two children (7&9). From our arrival Sarah made us all feel very welcome and was extremely helpful with local knowledge and tips for getting around Weymouth area. Lots of information in the barn regarding tourist activities, places to eat etc. The barn is well situated just a few minutes from Weymouth town centre and has the luxury of being far enough out of the town to enjoy coastal walks. Tidmoor is a great sized barn, the living/dining, sleeping rooms were very spacious, the children especially loved the huge shower/wet room. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need for your stay. The views from the upstairs living room over Chesil beach and the nature reserve are wonderful. Great little private garden for the children to play in and we ate outside on the patio area when we could. The washing machine and outside rotary came in extremely handy during our stay. I would highly recommend the barn to anyone wanting all the home comforts at a very affordable price in a lovely quiet, but accessible area of Weymouth. We would definitely stay again.

We took my elderly mum,who has mobility problems, with us. The Stables were very well suited to all our needs and she was able to move around the ground floor, bathroom & bedroom with ease. The bathrooms & kitchen were excellent & very well fitted out. Sarah was an excellent host. We have booked again for next year.

The accommodation was very accessible for my husband who is wheelchair dependent. The level access was perfect as was the bathroom/wetroom facility. There was plenty of space to move the wheelchair around. The location was also great as we were on a bus route & only 10 min drive from Weymouth Park & Drive. Sarah the owner was very friendly & always on hand to help should the need arise.

Our daughter, a wheelchair user could wheel herself freely around Tidmoor Barn. Tidmoor Farm is a very convenient base for exploring West Dorset and Abbotsbury is a very short drive away. The Swannery and Subtropical Garden are interesting and beautiful. Weymouth is only a few minutes away with its lovely harbour, beach, shops and excellent Sea Life Centre and the Noethe Fort with its historic displays and disabled access to all levels. Level Cycle Trails,(suitable for wheelchair walks) are a few minutes away, the Rodwell Trail and at Portland. Morrison's is 10 minutes away and a little shop only a few minutes walk away each morning. We had a very enjoyable holiday at Tidmoor Barn and would recommend it. An additional drop down support by the toilet would be useful. Sarah was always available if we had any queries and it was nice just to chat with her about our plans each day.

How do damage deposits work?
