This single bedroom has a seating area which leads to a small enclosed private courtyard. For convenience, there is also a ground floor shower and cloak room. The England region

This area enjoys some of the best levels of sunshine in Southern England. It also boasts numerous historical places of interest, such as the Roman Palace at Fishbourne, & the Weald & Downland Open Air Musueum. Goodwood House and Stansted Park are also fascinating places to visit.

For travellers who like to go a bit further afield, heading west to Portsmouth you can explore the famous Spinnaker tower, the old 'Spice Island' dockyards and from there make your way to the Isle of White with a ticket to Ryde, by ferry, catamaran or hovercraft! Travelling further west, if you enjoy the histoy Chichester has to offer you can catch a train to the cathedral city of Salisbury where you will find easy links to tours of Stonehenge.

South East England

15 South Pallant is perfectly placed to explore many of the attractions Chichester has to offer. Starting with the network of streets it resides in, the word 'Pallant' derives from the word 'Palantine' which means 'of the palace'. In the Middle Ages this southern eastern part of Chichester belonged to the Archbishop of Canterbury and became part of his 'palace' giving the area close links to Chichester's grand Cathedral. The Cathedral is a sight not to be missed. You can enjoy a tour of the spectacular building or simply wander the beautiful 'Bishop's Gardens'. Chichester has plenty of shops to browse; not only do you have the high street leaders, upon exploration you will find boutique stores with unique gifts and fascinating antique hideaways particularly at the end of West Street and East Street.

From the house you don't have to go far to find entertainment. At the top of Chichester's North Street you will find the famous Festival Theatre. Tickets can sell out fast, so make sure you take a peek at what will be showing during your stay. Amongst other attractions, there is the popular Pallant House Gallery very nearby and the independent New Park Cinema where you can enjoy a bottle of wine and watch the latest film or catch up with your favourite classic.

Around Chichester there are many places to explore and if you don't have a car you can make use of Chichester's excellent bus and rail services. You can get to London Victoria in an hour and a half, travel to Brighton and explore the myriad of lanes in just 40- 50 minutes and perhaps stop off and explore Arundel Castle with it's quaint town along the way.

“Great location but no wifi and parking permit an issue.”

Reviewed 1 Aug 2014

A great location and house, though steep stairs to living and bedrooms would make it unsuitable for some. Lack of parking offset by being close to public parking, although constantly having to pay meter a pain. Nice kitchen, living room and terrace layout on second floor, very clean and the letting agent very responsive 24/7. Only real negative would be lack of wifi and the VERY small double bed in master bedroom... And no teapot!

“Perfect location - very good value for money”

Central location. Close to railway station. Quiet street, lovely view from terrace. Cosy interior. We enjoyed our stay.
