Location description from manager

The England region

This area enjoys some of the best levels of sunshine in Southern England. It also boasts numerous historical places of interest, such as the Roman Palace at Fishbourne, & the Weald & Downland Open Air Musueum. Goodwood House and Stansted Park are also fascinating places to visit.

For travellers who like to go a bit further afield, heading west to Portsmouth you can explore the famous Spinnaker tower, the old 'Spice Island' dockyards and from there make your way to the Isle of White with a ticket to Ryde, by ferry, catamaran or hovercraft! Travelling further west, if you enjoy the histoy Chichester has to offer you can catch a train to the cathedral city of Salisbury where you will find easy links to tours of Stonehenge.

Chichester

Set in a great location for getting out and around the surrounding area, The Dairy is ideal whether you are planning to visit the seaside, explore the countryside or see some of the many sites in the local towns and villages. The historic city of Chichester is just a few miles up the road and offers a wealth of shops, restaurants and cafes, as well as the medieval cathedral and world famous Festival Theatre. Less than 5 miles in the other direction is the traditional English seaside town of Bognor Regis, with a seafront promenade and historic pier.

A little further afield, the South Downs National Park lies to the north and has some of the most beautiful scenery in the south of England. The area is a walker's paradise and includes the South Downs Way, which runs all the way from Winchester to Eastbourne. Local sporting events include horse racing at both Goodwood and Fontwell, as well as motor racing events, such as the world famous 'Goodwood Festival of Speed' and 'Goodwood Revival'. There are also a selection of golf courses in the local area. The cities of Brighton to the east and Portsmouth to the west are easily accessible by either road or rail and London is less than 2 hours away, again either by road or rail.

“Very comfortable and convenient to shops, restaurants, and Goodwood”

Reviewed 8 Jan 2014

We thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay in Chichester at this property- the major drawback was in actually organizing to pick up the correct key and locating the property- it is on a quiet street but very close to everything-it was adequately stocked and the beds were comfortable. We would not hesitate to recommend it or stay there again ourselves.

Thank you for your review of Minerva House in Chichester and it is great to see that you enjoyed your stay so much. Once again, I am sorry about the mix up with the keys on your arrival, this was my error and I am glad that it did not affect your stay at all beyond your initial arrival. I can assure you that this will not happen again. If we can be of any assistance to you in the future, please do just let us know. Kind regards, Pallant Holiday Lets
