“Lovely Weekend”

Reviewed 7 Dec 2016

We had a lovely weekend break at this beautiful property. It had everything we needed and was perfect for my son who is in a wheelchair. Will definitely return.

“Superb!!”

Reviewed 9 Oct 2015

I think Pond Cottage is one of the nicest places we have ever stayed in. Spacious, immaculate cottage, with lovely furniture and decorations. Thank you so much Julie !

“Perfectly accessible for wheelchair users”

Reviewed 9 Oct 2015

This cottage is a jewel in Cheshire! We needed to stay fairly near to family and with wheelchair access for my son. We couldn't have asked for anything better. It ticked every box especially as he was able to use the shower in the wet room and generally move about easily as the doorways were wide and facilitated a wheelchair user. The decking was a delight and the owners had kindly provided two wooden ramps in order that my son could also enjoy the lovely setting overlooking the pond . My son had the largest room and this allowed easier movement for him as well as being able to use a portable hoist which we hired, as the legs fitted under the bed easily. Parking was right outside the cottage so that again a wheelchair user didn't have to struggle over gravel paths. The cottage was ideal for reaching some of the lovely beaches and gardens in the area too. We were absolutely thrilled with finding this and were tempted to keep it to ourselves!!!

“A wonderful experience and quality cottage accommodation, good no, its was great.”

We were so happy we chose Pond Cottage, it was a joy to stay at such a fantastic location. quite, a great setting, 3 wonderful en suit bedrooms, modern kitchen and a wonderful snug lounge which lead out onto the deck, which overlooked the pond. this was just a fantastic find and we will be back next year, longer next time.

“first class all the way, accommodation wow wow”

Reviewed 1 Jun 2015

a car is a must, our two granddaughters 3 and 5 yrs loved the grounds best the geese, hens and rabbits plenty of outside space to run around and our son and his wife were pleased with my choice soon as you walk in it has the wow factor 3 ensuite shower rooms i think no expense has been spared, the zoo and aquarium are easy to drive to we had a day trip to llandudno certainly more class than scarborough we will be back soon and thank you julie and your housekeeper for all your hard work making our 6 day break wonderful. best wishes to you all, peter and family.

“Modern, well equipped cottage.”

Reviewed 3 Jan 2015

Lovely, modern, well equipped cottage, great for a weekend stay. Each of the 3 bedrooms are beautifully done, each with a great sized bathroom. Only negative was the small living area which we struggled to fit 6 people around the small table in the kitchen/living room.

So pleased you enjoyed our lovely en suite bedrooms, our plan was to make each bedroom feel like a luxury hotel room with large well equipped bathrooms. I can only assume that you didn't extend the table as per instructions in our manual as at 5 ft 3 inches it is plenty big enough to seat 6 people comfortably.

“Amazing Holiday Home and Location!”

Reviewed 30 Sep 2014

This is a beautifully done out property. All the love and care and attention to detail I like. Perfect layout, accommodated all our needs and all bedrooms have their own en suite which was perfect for our family stay, and really comfy beds. Everything we could've asked for and more. Our little boy loved feeding the chickens and the bench swing. Our little boy is 3 so had to be supervised outside the property as there is a small pond and large pond but wasn't a problem. A really high standard property in the perfect location for Wales, Liverpool and Chester. We would definitely stay again as so much to do in that area. A brilliant stay was enjoyed by all! x Thank You x

Thank you for your lovely review, I am so pleased you enjoyed Pond Cottage and our beautiful City. Julie

“when can we move in? we loved it :)”

Truly a beautiful place to stay, extremely comfortable and had everything we could possibly have needed. each bedroom was beautiful and the beds SO comfortable that it was difficult to get up in the mornings ! The cottage has fantastic motorway links and Chester Zoo & Cheshire Oaks are right on the doorstep. A HUGE thank you to Julie for been so accommodating, we had a wonderful week and hope to see you in the future, and if you fancy selling that beautiful picture in the lounge Julie, put me first on the list :) ! Thank you so much for your lovely review. It was a pleasure to meet you all and we hope to see you all again in the future.

“Fantastic cottage, loved it!”

Reviewed 24 Apr 2014

Cottage furnished to an impeccable standard. Beautiful surroundings. Perfectly positioned to easily visit many places. Best days out - Liverpool via the Mersey Ferry from Seacombe and Chester Zoo.

“Self-catering? This wins the prize!”

Reviewed 4 Apr 2014

The property was immaculate and fitted out to the highest of standards. We have rarely had so much kitchen equipment provided in a self-catering property. Our bed was extremely comfortable and we slept very well in the peaceful surroundings. We loved watching the wildlife from our French window, and even had a warm enough afternoon (in March) to enjoy sitting on the decking by the pond. Julie, the owner, was most welcoming and helpful, not only on our arrival, but also during our stay, taking an interest in what we were doing and offering advice on where to go. If we were visiting the area again, this would be our first choice of accommodation. Friends who came to visit us in the cottage were most impressed - they even threatened to stay! (But we threw them out.)

Thank you for taking the time to leave such a lovely review. We are so pleased you slept well and enjoyed the peace and quiet. We hope to see you again. Best wishes Julie
