The accommodation itself is unique and offers a genuine glimpse into ye olde worlde Chester as it is located in a special conservation area designed to preserve the unique Victorian heritage of this particular part of the City. The cottage offers 2 bedrooms and accommodates 3 people (1 x double bed and 1 x single). There is a kitchen/ diner and living room downstairs, 2 bedrooms and bathroom upstairs. Outside there is a small paved area with seating where you can enjoy a glass of wine (or two) on a warm day. The property has recently been renovated and we have decorated the house in a warm, comfortable style so that our guests can relax and enjoy their stay.

The house is well equipped with Wi-Fi, washing machine, coffee machine and good quality bedding. Albion Street lies in a quiet and tranquil part of Chester despite its central location. We can provide those bringing very young children with a highchair and travel cot upon request.

We live in Chester so are able to assist our guests if they need any information or help during their stay. We have also provided a comprehensive welcome guide for guests, recommending the best restaurants and activities that we have enjoyed recently.

The City of Chester itself offers spectacular heritage, from Roman times through the English Civil War to the Georgian and Victorian ages. The property is situated on a small street of Victorian terraced houses, with the iconic and well-known Albion Inn on the corner. The street has been used for filming several TV programmes, including Foyle’s War as it offers an authentic Victorian street scene.

Exploring the streets of Chester is a joy, with the renowned Rows featuring many independent local shops and a walk around the Walls is a must. Visitors can also enjoy scenic bus tours in authentic heritage vehicles as well as a river trip down the River Dee. For the more adventurous, small self-drive boats are also available to hire. All of the main attractions of Chester are extremely close to the accommodation.

As the cottage is located in the middle of Chester City Centre, and close to the railway station/bus routes/taxi ranks, a car is not necessary to enable you to explore this beautiful city. Guests who do not require parking receive a complimentary bottle of Prosecco.

There is on-street parking available with permits. This is offered on a first come first served basis. There is also unrestricted on street parking close by, which we are happy to show you as well as 2 car parks in very close proximity.

We hope you have a lovely visit to Chester and that you enjoy your stay with us.
