Whether you're browsing for high fashion in many of our exclusive stores, relishing a fine meal in a Michelin starred restaurant, or exploring gardens where the air hangs heavy with scent, the end result is the same.
Pampered and relaxed - you will feel better for having visited Chester.

Chester City Centre

Britain’s historic past is a constant companion as you stroll the ancient thoroughfares and meander along the Rows of this remarkable city. Explore the famous Rows: black and white half-timbered buildings above street level with covered walkways. Mainly shopping galleries now with the occasional pub or little museum tucked in between. You will find all the well-known high street names as well as traditional shops. The Three Old Arches in Bridge Street is the oldest shop front in England. These 13th century curiosities are unique to Chester. Nowhere in Britain is there more black and white architecture which gives Chester its outstanding medieval look.

Iron age hill forts and Norman Castles, candle-carvers and ice-cream makers, cycle trails, wayside walks, canal towpaths, mediaeval bridges.

Easy access to the North Wales Coast to explore their castles such as Conwy, Caernarfon and Bodelwyddan. Pretty towns such as Llangollen with its 14th century bridge [one of the seven wonders of Wales] and home to the world-famous Eisteddfod music festival and nostalgic steam train excursions. Visit the ski and toboggan slopes in Llandudno, the Dinosaur World and the Welsh Mountain Zoo at Colwyn Bay.

Grosvenor Museum with its graveyard of Roman Tombstones! Military Museum recalling the life and times of its soldiers over the past 300 years. Roman Amphitheatre, the Roman Garden and Minerva’s Shrine and Chester Cathedral originally an early 10th century church.

“Best cottage I have been to.”

Reviewed 3 Aug 2013

From the moment we were greeted on arrival by Karen and given a run through of all facilities we felt we were home from home. Totally understand why there are so many repeat customers of which I will be joining. Thank you Karen for allowing us to stay in your wonderful house and I will be in touch for next year.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review. I am delighted that you enjoyed your stay in Jasmine Cottage. I look forward to welcoming you and your family to the cottage another time. Kind regards, Karen.

“Self Catering in Luxurious Accommodation”

Reviewed 10 Jun 2012

A 2 bedroom cottage decorated and furnished to a very high standard. Upstairs the bedrooms were very spacious with excellent double fitted wardrobes and the bathroom was fully tiled and well fitted out. The kitchen had all appliances, crockery and utensils required and was well laid out. Living room had 2 reclining sofas, flat screen tv, books, dvd's, radio and the decor was excellent. There was a small courtyard off the kitchen with a table and 4 chairs which we used daily to enjoy the sunshine while having a refreshment. We were given a warm welcome by Karen and she gave us a rundown of facilities in the area. There was also a welcome pack which was greatly appreciated. It is only a 15 min. walk into the Chester along the canal or there is an excellent bus service with the bus stop just outside the mews. The car was parked up except when we visited the coastal resorts of Wales.

“Perfect!”

Reviewed 18 Aug 2011

On arrival at Jasmine Cottage we were warmly greeted by the owner who kindly showed us around and made us feel very much at home. The cottage is beautifully presented, spotlessly clean and has all the luxuries a family might need for a weeks holiday. We had never visited Chester before but were impressed with what the city and surrounding area had to offer. We have two young boys and there were plenty of things to do and places to go. We would thoroughly recommend Jasmine Cottage to anyone looking for a holiday in Chester.
