Description from owner

Description

The Château du Bourbet is steeped in history, dating back to the 15th Century and beyond, from its origins as a Templar fortress to its forced occupation by the German Army and partial demolition at the end of the Second World War. Now lovingly renovated, the Château du Bourbet invites you to enjoy some of the very best in chambres d’hôtes and table d’hôtes that the Dordogne has to offer. A weekly rental of the main château is also an option to consider. The Château du Bourbet is a registered Gîte de France, classified 'Trois Epis' ~ the highest rating for chambres d’hôtes. Set in miles upon miles of unspoiled rolling French countryside with stunning views, this is the perfect haven for those seeking to escape the stresses of everyday modern life.
