Detached Cotswold stone farmhouse situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Situated above Woodmancote near Bishops Cleeve, the farmhouse enjoys incredible panoramic views across Cheltenham, Tewkesbury and towards the Malverns. Bushcombe House Farm has been extensively renovated to a high standard throughout. From the driveaway a short flight of steps leads to porch and through to ground floor access. The downstairs comprises spacious hallway, leading to 30sq m (300 sq ft) open-plan kitchen diner with level access to garden terrace through patio doors. Also downstairs, the main lounge with gas fire, TV & DVD player, a snug, downstairs toilet, cloakroom and a utility room with washing machine/tumble dryer. The hallway leads upstairs to five bedrooms and a family bathroom. The two largest bedrooms also feature en-suite shower rooms.
The property is set in 11 acres of ground which leads up to Cleeve Common. Some of the ground has been cleared to enable guests to enjoy the privacy and views this site enjoys. It is possible to see the GWR steam train leave the station at the Race Course and travel towards Gotherington.
There are two sheds outside for storing bikes and a carport/garage , there is car parking for three/four cars on the drive..
Guests normally arrive after 4pm on the day of the booking and we would request that guests leave by 11 am of the departure day. This gives us time to clean the property ready for the next guests. We may be able to accommodate different times by prior agreement and for an additional charge.

“Stunning views, outstanding accommodation”
Perfect location, with beautiful views. Couldn't of asked for much more. Kitchen had everything you need. Plenty of rooms for gatherings, and great comfy beds. Have recommended to lots! Will definitely be back.

Beautiful setting plenty of space for children to run around. Spacious accommodation with rooms to chill on your own if you wanted some "me" time. Kitchen table fit for a banquet and so well equipped. Great place for a family get together. Very clean.

Excellent cottage. So comfortable and cosy Everything you would need. Great position and so near to Cheltenham centre. Just needed a shovel when the snow came!!! Looked very pretty but we should have taken skis. Would visit again

“Lovely house in picturesque surroundings”
This was a lovely base for myself and group of friends and our children for the weekend. The house is very well equipped and is in lovely surroundings and the house has been furnished in keeping with the building. The only thing I would mention is that if you have very young children the entrance to the property and garden are very steep we stayed indoors whilst at the property, and also for babies although the floors are lovely tiled to a high standard, they are quite hard for crawling but there is a nice playroom well equipped with toys.
Owner's reply: Dear Jes Thank you for your review. I do not fully understand the feedback , parts of the garden are laid out in terraces and they are flat . The Kitchen and dinning floor and tiled , and this is shown on the web, this is in keeping with a farmhouse kitchen The property can be accessed by the stairs (shown on the web) from the drive or by a gate off the lane , which has no steps. We are on the side of a 1/4 hill , which is why the views are so amazing . We have tried very hard to make the property suit all guests , young and old , and we want every guest to have a wonderful holiday and come again. Peter and Lyn
“Brilliant house, beautiful location”
The house is set is an absolutely stunning location. The views form the garden are beautiful. The house is very well equipped. Plenty of crockery etc (and lots of kids cups, plates etc). The open plan kitchen/diner is the perfect place for a large group to socialise. All bedrooms are well kept and linen and towels are provided. Will definitely be booking again!

We chose Bushcombe for a joint 30th birthday party for a group of nine friends and had the most excellent stay. The house itself, as well as being beautiful, was extremely clean and well appointed. There was everything we needed in terms of appliances (hair dryers in the rooms and a dish washer were very appreciated!) and kitchenware. The owners provided all the necessary basics like hand/washing soap and loo roll which just made everything easy. The house is in an incredible location with stunning views. We highly recommend a walk up nearby Cleve Hill, which is easily accessible on public footpaths. The kitchen/dining area was absolutely perfect for a large group. There is plenty of space and the table was definitely the focal point for the whole weekend for meals, tea, playing board games and exchanging presents. Delighted we found this place and our thanks to Peter and Linda.

“A lovely house with a great view”
I stayed at Bushcombe for a weekend in August with a group of Friends as we were going to a wedding nearby. It was nice to have such a big, clean and comfortable place to stay and an added treat to have such a beautiful view.

We stayed at Bushcombe House Farm in July 2015. This was an all-female group of friends and family and was perfect for a weekend. The house was immaculate, the terrace/garden was lovely, and the view over Cheltenham and towards the Malverns (especially at sunset) was absolutely stunning. The bedrooms are all good sizes, and one of the two en suite double rooms also contained a cot bed. The kitchen was well equipped, and everything was very clean. There is plenty of off-road parking (probably 5 or 6 cars). It was very peaceful. On the whole, very well presented and comfortable with the view providing a touch of the wow factor! A few tips for future visitors: 1) for sat nav users, when trying to find the house for the first time using the postcode, go further up the hill than your sat nav tells you to! Then look out for a blue gate on the left. 2) watch out for the big rocks on the side of the driveway if reversing in and out - you probably won't be able to see them once in the car. 3) it takes around 30-40 minutes to get into Cheltenham centre by car. 4) watch out for hot water - it didn't seem to be a combi boiler so on one of the mornings we ran out of hot water when everyone wanted showers. 5) unless you really REALLY enjoy walking up and down very steep hills and winding country lanes, don't assume you will be able to walk to any local facilities! 6) there are shops and a supermarket in bishops cleeve just a 5-minute drive away.
