“A lovely house with a great view”

Reviewed 20 Aug 2015

I stayed at Bushcombe for a weekend in August with a group of Friends as we were going to a wedding nearby. It was nice to have such a big, clean and comfortable place to stay and an added treat to have such a beautiful view.

We are getting a lot of wedding parties staying at the farmhouse It is ideal with the patio and wonderful views Thank you for your kind words Peter and Lyn

“Fantastic!”

Reviewed 7 Jul 2015

We stayed at Bushcombe House Farm in July 2015. This was an all-female group of friends and family and was perfect for a weekend. The house was immaculate, the terrace/garden was lovely, and the view over Cheltenham and towards the Malverns (especially at sunset) was absolutely stunning. The bedrooms are all good sizes, and one of the two en suite double rooms also contained a cot bed. The kitchen was well equipped, and everything was very clean. There is plenty of off-road parking (probably 5 or 6 cars). It was very peaceful. On the whole, very well presented and comfortable with the view providing a touch of the wow factor! A few tips for future visitors: 1) for sat nav users, when trying to find the house for the first time using the postcode, go further up the hill than your sat nav tells you to! Then look out for a blue gate on the left. 2) watch out for the big rocks on the side of the driveway if reversing in and out - you probably won't be able to see them once in the car. 3) it takes around 30-40 minutes to get into Cheltenham centre by car. 4) watch out for hot water - it didn't seem to be a combi boiler so on one of the mornings we ran out of hot water when everyone wanted showers. 5) unless you really REALLY enjoy walking up and down very steep hills and winding country lanes, don't assume you will be able to walk to any local facilities! 6) there are shops and a supermarket in bishops cleeve just a 5-minute drive away.

We are delighted you enjoyed the farmhouse It is an amazing and very special place Peter and Lyn

“The pictures dont do it justice!”

A fabulous house! Terrific location with stunning views and well appointed with excellent amenities for a large group. The kitchen/ dining area was wonderful and having two living rooms was great. We were all adults, but this house is well set up for children .Kitchen, beds, linens, bathrooms all fresh from a recent re modelling. Good laundry facilities. Its proximity to stores, pubs and Cheltenham, Gloucester, Cotswolds and motorway made it easy for day trips and self-catering. This rental far exceeded our expectations based on the pictures. It was very welcoming inside!

Thank you for your kind feedback We hope to see you again Peter and Lyn

“Brilliant House!”

Reviewed 28 Apr 2015

We had a fantastic trip to Bushcombe House Farm at the end of April 2015. The house is in a lovely area, with fantastic views and is very well equipped. All 10 of us had lovely beds (although some of them were a little squeaky!), the bedrooms were equipped with lovely oak furniture and TVs and the bathrooms were all newly fitted. Downstairs, the kitchen/dining room is just fantastic and we spent most of our time in this room. The kitchen came equipped with literally everything you would need - in fact it is quite unusual to find a holiday let with more than the minimum number of plates, cups, and glasses! It really was fantastic! The only minor thing that I would say is that the sofas in the house were a little "old fashioned" and not really in keeping with the rest of the property but they were very comfortable indeed. All in all, this was a fantastic property at a very reasonable price. The owners were very flexible and accomodating and always responded in a prompt and professional manner! Thank you very much for your hospitality!

Thank you for your feedback We have just completed a programme of works to the grounds We have had 500 trees planted , which will not affect the views , but will add colour as they become established

“This is a great retreat!”

We had a superb time at the farmhouse. Nine of us got together for a family special birthday, and everything we needed was there. Spotlessly clean and comfortable. It was great having our BBQ on the lawn, with the views below. Didn't want to leave.

We are delighted you had a great time, Bushcombe House Farm is a very special place . Thank you for the feedback

“Fantastic Dwelling in a Great area”

Reviewed 13 Apr 2015

We stayed as a group of 4 couples for a wonderful week. The accommodation is outstanding: More than enough space, very well appointed and equipped and we were left wanting for nothing at all. Tesco deliver so that was our food taken care of, although there were enough basics in the house on arrival for tea/coffee etc. The fridge/freezer is large. Although very close to the small towns of Bishops Cleeve and Woodmancote and 10-15 minutes from Cheltenham, one feels as if one is living in the country. Open fields surround the property (almost completely) and the views are great. The location is good for walking directly from the house, with excellent walking areas nearby e.g. Cleeve hill. We enjoyed the nearby enthusiast rail service and Sudeley castle very much. The hosts Peter and Linda were on call but not intrusive - in fact we did not see them at the house at all - we felt very at peace in the country.

Thank you for the very kind response, we are delighted our guests had a good holiday and enjoyed the farmhouse We have just had an inspection from Quality in Tourism , who have awarded the farmhouse a 4 star gold award

“Fantastic location, beautiful house.”

Reviewed 5 Jan 2015

We stayed at Bushcombe House Farm for two weeks over the Christmas and New Year period. We were over from Perth Australia and met up with our three grown up children and extended family at the house. It was a brilliant place for a family get-together. Peter and Linda had set up a Christmas tree in the house for us and the place was very well quipped with everything we could need and in excellent condition. The views from the house were amazing and I can see that this would be a perfect summer holiday place too. Lots of lovely walks around and the beautiful Cotswold villages are all within easy driving distance.

We are delighted you had a good holiday , we hope to see you again Best wishes Peter/Lyn

“Wonderful place to stay”

Reviewed 9 Nov 2014

We had a cousins get together at this property and we loved it. Lots of space, very clean and the most amazing views. We were lucky enough to be there while the Cheltenham racecourse was having its firework disply, so we could see them all from the property! A walk up at the common at the top of the hill in the sunshine was a lovely end to our short break. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Thank you for the kind feedback We hope to see you again

“Stunning views, immaculate house - highly recommend”

Reviewed 15 Sep 2014

The house is situated on a hill so the views are stunning. When we arrived there were flowers on the kitchen table and milk, wine and juice in the fridge - a welcome we weren't anticipating but very much appreciated the gesture. All the bedrooms are a really good size and with 2 ensuites and 1 main bathroom there were enough showers for everyone. The beds were very comfortable and the furniture and styling of the house was really nice. Would highly recommend for a weekend or a holiday.

Thank you for the very kind feedback
