Birchenfields Farm and Holiday Cottages is a family run business set in the magnificent Staffordshire countryside. Located just a few miles from both the beauty of the Peak District National Park and the thrills of Alton Towers, Birchenfields is in the perfect location for whatever type of holiday you choose. Our cottages started life as a traditional farm barn which has been tastefully converted to form inviting lodgings for families and friends alike. Ample parking is available for all guests and a safe area for storing bicycles is provided. Wonderful walks start at your front door, including one to the local pub, which serves delicious food and a range of local beers. The warm and cosy summer house is a relaxing sanctuary for those looking to escape with a good book, whilst the indoor play area allows guests both young and old to let off steam with a game of air hockey, table football, pool or table tennis. The cottages are fronted by beautiful landscaped gardens. Dogs are welcome

The cottages are fronted by beautiful landscaped gardens. Dogs are welcome (small charge applies) and there is a large, enclosed paddock in which they can be exercised safely.

Our 3 star cottages all sleep four guests in one double room and one twin. Cots and high chairs are available at no extra charge. Each cottage has a beautifully furnished lounge diner, fully equipped kitchen and a shower room. The cottages are warm and inviting and guests will find plenty to keep them occupied, with TV, DVD player, books and games all supplied. Towels and linen are provided along with tea towels, washing up liquid and other essential items. There is a laundry room on site. On arrival guests will find all they need to make a refreshing cup of tea or coffee, including fresh milk.

The Corn Store is a beautiful cottage, the perfect mixture of old-worlde charm and modern convenience with wooden floors and tasteful decoration. The kitchen has an integrated oven and hob, fridge, dishwasher, toaster, kettle and microwave. The lounge diner has two comfortable sofas and dining table with chairs. There is a TV and DVD player with DVDs available for your viewing pleasure. The cottage also contains a supply of books and board games suitable for a range of ages. The double bedroom has plenty of storage and the bed is very comfortable. The twin room contains a pair of bunk beds and has a good amount of floor space so children can play. A cot is available on request. The bathroom has a good sized shower, toilet and sink.

Birchenfields is just minutes away from a whole host of tourist attractions that will appeal to the whole family, including Alton Towers, Drayton Manor, Steam Railways, Amerton Farm, The Potteries, The Roaches and the Peak District. Walking and cylcing routes are in abundance. Excellent areas for mountain biking, rock climbing and watersports are within 10 miles.

Birchenfields is situated in a peaceful area, only a few miles from the Peak District, with its wealth of walking, climbing, biking and outdoor activities. The Staffordshire countryside itself is stunning, typically English with its rolling hills and large expanses of farmland. 10 minutes from Birchenfields is The Roaches, one of England's most popular rock climbing areas. Birchenfields is also just 5 miles from the UK's biggest and best theme park, Alton Towers. Drayton manor is also nearby, along with a whole host of family-friendly activities. These include Trentham Estate, Ariel Extreme and Monkey Park; Tittesworth Reservoir and Watersports Centre; Amerton Farm, Blackbrook Zoo; Foxfield Railway and Rudyard Lake. This makes Birchenfields the ideal ccommodation choice for whatever type of holiday you choose. Local towns include Cheadle, Stoke and Stafford. These towns bring their own interesting history and attractions along with plenty of shopping, eating and drinking opportunities.There are 3 excellent pubs within walking distnce from Birchenfields, each serving a range of delicious homemade food and real, local beers.

Cheadle

Cheadle is an historic market towm with many shops, tearooms and pubs. The main attraction is Pugin's Gem, the local Catholic church.
