Catered option. Would you prefer to be chauffeured around, shown the best of Chatel and be fed like Kings and Queens? Of course you would - that’s why we also offer a fully catered Chalet! You will be looked after by two British hosts who know Chatel inside out. We will provide you with everything you need, no need to lift a finger. We’ll arrange reliable transfers to and from Geneva Airport, and we’ll be waiting to welcome you to Chalet Le Reve with a glass of bubbly!

Let us start each day by waking you up to a traditional French breakfast, with the addition of freshly made eggs - how do you like yours in the morning? Once you’ve taken the last bite of your croissant, it’s time to be dropped off at the ski lifts, or wherever else you plan on spending your day. Whilst one of us picks you up later on, the other will be preparing a bite to eat, and the hot tub for you to soak your tired limbs. You can then simply relax, knowing that your taste buds will soon be in for a treat with delicious three course meals prepared by our talented, experienced chef. We offer a varied menu with dishes such as melt-in-your-mouth Fondue Savouyarde, hearty Lasagne and finger-licking-good Chicken aux Reve (a favourite amongst guests), and are more than happy to take requests for your favourite dishes and healthy options- we challenge you to find another chalet that offers this the way we do!

During dinner, enjoy a selection of wines - trust us on these, they're tried and tested! And if you have room later on, what better way to end your perfect day than with a glass of wine and a late-night snack…

We will always try to price-match similar chalets in Chatel and welcome reasonable offers for late bookings.

“Outstanding chalet accommodation in Porte Du Soleil ski region”

Reviewed 14 Apr 2016

We had an outstanding holiday at Chalet La Reve. Located in the Porte du Soleil ski region of France, the chalet is perfectly located for enjoying arguable the best skiing region in the Alps. It is, fantastically well equipped, catering for c12 guests with ease. There is no need for a car, as the chalet is located just outside the main Chatel village with a free bus service which stops literally outside the driveway, every 15 minutes, to take you to the main ski lifts. The owner, Lawrence, is incredibly well connected in the region, so arranging everything from ski hire, ski passes, transfers from Geneva, were all entirely painless challenges. Chatel, manages to combine a local French feel and culture with the infrastructure needed to cater for demanding holidaymakers. Chalet Chatel is a great example of this. If you want a holiday with action during the day and cozy relaxation in the evening, then look no further than Chalet La Reve in Chatel.

Owner's reply: Many thanks for such a fantastic review and delighted that Chatel and the chalet were perfect for your group and everything was so easy. It was a pleasure to help you to arrange things and hope that made it easier and was more relaxing. I know you are keen skiers and location was important so I'm pleased that the chalet enabled you to enjoy all that the PDS has to offer, arguably the best skiing region in the alps and so varied. Thank you for being such terrific guests and looking after the chalet so well and look forward to seeing you next season.

“Gorgeous Chalet, Beautiful Place, Highly Recommended”

Reviewed 7 Mar 2015

I stayed here for a few days and can honestly say I can't wait to go back. The chalet is beautiful- it is spacious, and has everything that you will need. The surrounding area is delightful, with the village of Chatel just a few minutes away. The facilities at the chalet are fantastic, and I highly recommend it to anyone!

Owner's reply: Thank you so much for your kind words and I'm really pleased you enjoyed the chalet so much and found it so comfortable and relaxing; everyone really loves the log fire, especially. You picked a good week for snow and sunshine. You eat in most nights and having the large Intermarche so close is very convenient. What a great idea to spend your last day exploring Geneva and pleased you enjoyed it so much, such a charming city especially the old city. Please come back soon and perhaps try a summer alpine holiday.

“Fourth trip and excellent as ever, booking for next year.”

Reviewed 23 Jan 2015

Family and friends , just back from another excellent holiday . Chalet is very well equipped and ideal for our group. Large dinning table and lounge area for group to get together over a meal in an evening . Supermarket just down the road to stock up on food and drinks. Fourth time we have been and already planning next years trip.

Owner's reply: Many thanks for your kind words and a pleasure to have you all back to your second home for a fourth time and pleased that Chatel keeps on working its magical charm; I know how much you love it and how well the layout of the chalet is for your group. So please do keep coming back to enjoy the mountains and I hope that it just continues to get better and better. There's always something new to discover in the Portes du Soleil. Chatel has the new spa and next week sees the historic opening of the link between Super-Chatel and Linga to make it even better. I look forward to seeing you again next season and thank you for staying at the chalet.

“excellent as ever”

Returned to Chatel and Chalet le Reve for our 3rd visit after a break last year. The Chalet meets all our needs as we are a mixed group of 3 generations and we all like our own space. The beds within the 7 bedrooms can be split making it flexible and has always enabled us to accommodate everyone according to their needs. Lawrence the owner is a rare gem! He always contacts us after arrival to ensure that everything is fine and over the years any minor problems which we encountered have been sorted efficiently. The location is on the bus route direct to the Linga lift and into Chatel village . This year a few of our group had a day off from skiing and had a lovely walk along the river to Chapelle with lunch in a lovely mountain restaurant at the top of the lift. Well worth a visit

Owner's reply: Welcome back for your third winter season and after your summer season and thank you for booking for your fifth visit next January. We are really looking forward to having you back again to your second home. Guests are always welcome to enjoy a cosy home-from-home feel. You have now become our most frequent guests - congratulations! Many thanks for your wonderful comments. It's always an absolute pleasure looking after your group and it's great that the chalet suits all your requirements. Taking advantage of the beautiful alpine walks is worthwhile and the walk along the River Dranse to Chapelle sounds lovely. You picked a perfect week to step off the world and have so much fun surrounded by so much peace and beauty and we are so pleased that you had such a good time.

“Would highly recommend this apartment”

Reviewed 3 Feb 2014

We stayed at the apartment for 5 days. Its a lovely location and the layout of the apartment is fantastic for kids and adults. The Basement is like its own self contained flat which is ideal if 2 or more families sharing and wanting alittle space. After a day of skiing theres nothing better than a relaxing evening infront of the log fire. There is a free bus service that runs from outside and takes you to the 2 ski lifts and the local supermarket this runs every 15 mins. Lawrence was very helpful and had a good knowledge of the surrounding areas. Would highly recommend.

Owner's reply: Many thanks for such a great review delighted you enjoyed the chalet so much and it suited you so well. The basement is a great space and gives so much more room to spread out and relax. Pleased you enjoyed Chatel and the skiing so much and had such a good time. Thanks for looking after the chalet and you're welcome back any time winter or summer.

“Very nice chalet.”

Reviewed 24 Jan 2014

The chalet was well situated, close to the slopes but not town centre so lovely and quiet. It was well equipped with comfortable beds and living furniture. Plenty of room for a family of 13 as we were without getting in each other's way. The only minus I could see was the icy slope leading to the chalet. We had to fit our snow chains every time we came back to the chalet.

Owner's reply: Many thanks Chris and pleased you enjoyed your holiday and the chalet was so well situated for you - the location opposite the river and forest is very popular. Sorry about the short gentle incline up the path which can be a bit icy after all that fantastic snow you had over new year even after the snow plough has been - best to have chains or snow tyres which are easy to use. Thanks for taking such good care of the chalet and you're welcome back any time summer or winter.

“Spacious and flexible accommodation for two families or large party”

Reviewed 11 Jan 2014

Excellent accommodation suitable for large party or two families (we were 12). Plenty of seating at large table for dining and in large sitting room with lovely log fire, plus additional living rooms to enable different activities e.g. watching TV. Plenty of bathrooms and dedicated ski/boot room make it an easy chalet to use. Handy for the ski buses and nearer to the start of the route so you always get on. 5 minute walk to big supermarket, about 20 minute walk into the village. We found the owner to be very attentive and he seemed to have thought of everything.

Owner's reply: Many thanks Dave and pleased you enjoyed the chalet so much and it suited you so well. Great conditions over the New Year and you made the best of it.The ski bus service and the supermarket so close by is very handy and the walk into the village is not far. Thanks for looking after the chalet so well and you're welcome back any time winter or summer.

A really wonderful week in a lovely spot. Very relaxing but plenty to do and visit too. Really comfortable and spacious chalet with everything you need. Chatel has some great restaurants and is very friendly. Cannot recommend it enough! Very beautiful part of the world

Owner's reply: Thanks Lisa so pleased you and the kids enjoyed such a wonderful summer holiday relaxing and also doing so many things and visiting so many places enjoying the wonderful food and scenery. Great that the chalet suited everyone so well and that there was so much to do. Pleased all the guides I sent were helpful - never expected you to get to all those places. You're welcome back any time! Perhaps try some skiing - sure you and the kids would love it. Best wishes Lawrence

“Lovely welcoming chalet, layout especially suited if travelling with children”

Reviewed 12 Mar 2013

Large and cosy chalet, with real fire which was lovely to relax in front of after a hard days ski-ing. Layout was very good, with TV area downstairs which the children could retreat to after dinner to watch a film, whilst adults could relax and chat in the comfortable lounge. Property well equipped for self catering, especially since the largest supermarket I have ever seen in a ski resort (in over 30 years of ski-ing) was a short walk down the road. Plenty of bathrooms for all, with lots of very hot water each night, together with soft fluffy towels (I even made a note of the make to look at getting some back home), all contributed to a great holiday. The owner couldn't have been more helpful in answering my many questions before the holiday, and the facility to have the lift passes delivered was much appreciated. Thanks you for letting us share your lovely base in the mountains.

Owner's reply: Thanks so much for such a great review. Pleased that the chalet suited all your needs and you relaxed so much and enjoyed your holiday making the most of the skiing. It was a pleasure to help you with all your plans and to find a suitable place at Les Dents Blanches for part of your group and that the two chalets worked so well. Appreciate all your feedback about making ski hire even better and have passed this on. You were fantastic guests and looked after the chalet so well, thanks. You're welcome back any time winter or summer.

“A warm and spacious chalet in a very good location”

Reviewed 24 Feb 2013

This is a perfect place for groups of friends and family as there is a number of separate living areas. Lots of bathrooms too. Close to bus makes it easy to get anywhere and with the large supermarket within 5 mins walk you could stay here without needing a car. Decor is simple, functional and tasteful. A great find.

Owner's reply: Thanks for such a complimentary review and pleased you enjoyed staying at the chalet and it suited all your needs so well. Good to hear all your news during the week and coping with all that snow, though you didn't really need to clear it off the roof but thanks anyway! Lucky having such great snow and so many Bluebirds. Sounds like you all really relaxed and enjoyed the chalet, a welcome break away from a busy office. Great to speak to you when you got back and hear you sounding so happy and well. Thank you for being such fantastic guests; please return soon - you're welcome back any time.
