Relax in our beautifully converted apartment with stunning views of Mont Blanc and Les Bossons Glacier. It is perfectly located for exploring all the Chamonix Valley has to offer, all year round.

At 60m2, the apartment feels exceptionally spacious. The open plan living room is large with ample space to sit ten or more for dinner round the extendable table and relax on the corner sofa afterwards. The kitchen area is brand new with induction hobs, microwave, integrated coffee machine and dishwasher. The owners use the apartment regularly themselves and kitchen appliances and equipment are of high quality.

Attention to detail is evident throughout, with good storage for ski, climbing or walking equipment, including a cave with a six-pair boot warmer and ski storage.

The master bedroom has fitted oak wardrobes and can be arranged as two singles or one super king-sized bed. The second bedroom has a top bunk bed, with two single beds underneath which can also be arranged as a double bed. There is a very comfortable double sofa bed in the living room.

In warm weather, enjoy the evening sun or a BBQ on the roof terrace with spectacular views of the North face of the Aiguille du Midi, Mont Blanc and Les Bossons glacier.

The Brevent and Les Houches ski areas are a five minute drive away, as is the Aiguille du Midi cable car for the world famous Vallee Blanche. The Mont Blanc tunnel gives access to Italy in less than 25 minutes - Courmayeur, the Aosta valley and fantastic Italian food! Hiking trails start a couple of minutes from the apartment and the popular Les Gaillands lake and climbing crag are under ten minutes walk. There are some fantastic restaurants within easy walking distance.

Changeover day is usually, Friday making La Bossonade ideal for a long weekend stay; it is possible to arrive after work on Friday evening and wake up in the mountains on Saturday. It is also possible for guests to extend their stay to the following weekend to allow extra time to ski or enjoy the valley.

Getting around

The bus stop and train station are a two minute walk for travel within the valley. Chamonix town centre is a 25 minute walk. We recommend a car where ever you stay in the Chamonix valley, but the apartment is well connected enough so that you don't need one.

Interaction with guest

You will be met at arrival by our housekeeper who will give you keys, show you round and give you details about the local area. She will also be available to call during your stay if you have any problems with the apartment.

Winter stay for skiing. Quiet location, all amenities, everything you need in the apartment. There is underfloor heating which makes it a nice warm apartment except for the main bedroom which was quite cold but then this would probably be a bonus un the summer. There is a car park next to the apartments which are ideal for the ski locker located below the apartment block down some steps. However, there was a couple of times when we were unable to park here when returning from skiing as the people (who couldn't park properly) who work for Cristal and Tui use the car park weekdays until late). There is a car park across the road which is quite muddy ( given that we had a hire car and ski gear we really didn't want to park here, so just parked in the lay-by outside of the post office until one of the cars moved). I also think people walking use the car park too. It wasn't really much of an issue though.The Vallorcine to Chamonix train line passes the back of the apartment but the trains stop at 9pm and there was no real noise from this as we were out most of the day anyway. Supermarkets are just down the road. A tip though: make sure you don't go early evening as it can be very busy. You do need a car but I would recommend a hire car for Chamonix anyway. If one area is late in opening due to weather this means that you can then travel to another area plus it gives the opportunity for travel to Italy through the Mont Blanc tunnel. There is a little lake about a 15 min walk away (Lac Gaillands) which is really nice and would imagine this being very popular in the summertime as there is a camping ground and rock climbing etc nearby. Also loads of walking routes on your doorstep. A really good location if you want peace and quiet.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Alex (the owner) a message.

If Alex (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
