Apartment d'Aiguille has accommodation over two floors. Downstairs is open plan with a modern, fitted kitchen. The comfortable living area has a dining table for 4 and a sofa which converts to two single beds. There is UK satellite TV and WIFI. Glass doors open on to the balcony which has great views of the Mont Blanc range and outside dining furniture for 4. The upper floor has a bright and spacious bedroom and bathroom with washing machine.

This 4th floor apartment is very central and enjoys an open aspect. It overlooks the Aiguille du Midi telepherique and has beautiful views of Mont Blanc and the Bossons Glacier. The apartment has a ski locker on the ground floor of the building plus lift access to the Chamonix Sud underground car park where there is a space for guest use.

This property makes an ideal base for both Winter and Summer holidays. With good access to ski buses and walking distance from tourist attractions, Apartment d'Aiguille is a good choice for a couple but comfortably accommodates up to 4 people.

The Rhône-Alpes region

Apartment d'Aiguille is so named as it looks over the famous Aiguille du Midi cable car, just to the south of Chamonix town centre. It is off the square of Chamonix Sud, adjacent to Avenue de l'Aiguille du Midi which leads directly to the main shopping street, Rue Paccard, 300 metres away by foot.

The apartment is very conveniently situated with a supermarket (Spar, main season only) just around the corner and many shops, bars and restaurants close by in Chamonix Sud and along Avenue de l'Aiguille du Midi. Popular restaurants such as Alan Peru, the Michelin-starred le Bistrot and the Jekyll are literally metres away.

For access to the slopes, the main bus stop is just along Rue du Lyret, 250 metres away as well as being opposite the Aiguille du Midi cable car for the Vallée Blanche. Brevent is the nearest main ski area, 2 minutes by bus.

Chamonix Town Centre

Skiing and snowboarding: Chamonix is one of the world's most famous ski areas, having hosted the first Winter Olympics in 1924. Skiers and snowboarders of all levels are well-served in a variety of differing areas around Chamonix, including Brevent, Flegere, the famous Grands Montets and Domaine du Balme. The Mont Blanc pass also covers nearby areas including Les Houches, St Gervais, Megeve, Courmayeur and Les Contamines, all within an easy drive. Slightly further afield, but within an hour's drive are Verbier, La Thuile, Flaine and Les Carroz. Despite its reputation as an area for experts only, there are plenty of green, blue and red runs to satisfy beginners and intermediates alike. For the more experienced, Chamonix has miles and miles of adventurous off-piste, including the famous Vallee Blanche, an 18 km experience from the Aiguille du Midi down to the town.

Summer and the rest of the year: With the draw of Europe's premier natural attraction, Mont Blanc, Chamonix never sleeps. Whether it's simply to soak up the stunning scenery or get the adrenaline pumping, there is plenty for everybody to do all year round. There are a wide variety of marked trails for hiking and trekking; well-maintained bolted routes for rock-climbing; limitless mountaineering opportunities including Mont Blanc itself; an ever-expanding network of mountain bike trails; some of the most consistent thermals for superb paragliding; raging white water rapids for rafting and hydro speeding; canyoning and abseiling down the spectacular valley gorges; golf at the Trent Jones Sr designed 18 hole course in Chamonix, as well as many other top quality courses nearby; the sports centre has an indoor and outdoor 50 m swimming pool and a large grassed sunbathing area, water slides, numerous tennis courts, gym, spa, jacuzzi, the list goes on.

"Location, location, location!"

Excellent position with view of Aiguille du Midi, Mont Blanc and Bosson Glacier. Comfortable and well equipped. Bathroom excellent. Ideal for 1 or 2 people but no more. Spiral staircase is tight and could be tricky for anyone with mobility issues. Underground parking is a real asset but the bigger the vehicle the more difficult to manoeuvre. More than happy to stay again.

"Good location"

Well located, handy for town ski bus etc. Ideal for two people. Well equipped . The apartment layout is well thought out but it's starting to show its age , a freshen up would definitely be beneficial. We felt that the owners were being let down by the management company as the apartment Wasn't as clean as it ought to have been when we arrived. It had obviously been given a very quick wipe over .

That's very disappointing to hear that the guest felt the apartment had only "had a quick wipe over" and that it's being let down by the management company. Of course, we're always striving to raise standards, but the apartment is cleaned by a professional cleaning company for over 2 hours each changeover. This apartment is in very nice condition and the owner spends a great deal of time freshening it up each year. We feel the comments are unfair.
