Description

Chalet Alpine Rose is a cosy self contained detached chalet set in 1000 sq metres of private gardens. Central Chamonix is two minutes on foot.

This chalet is available all year round on a self catering exclusive use basis to sleep 2 people.

Toast your toes in front of the log fire after a hard day in the mountains. (Unlimited supply of logs included in price).

The chalet has a cosy double bed plus en-suite shower, WC and fully equiped kitchenette with dual hob, fridge and microwave grill oven.

There is a terrace with garden table, chairs and sun loungers plus internal table with leather chairs. There is high speed wifi and a 3G hotspot.

Chalet Alpine Rose is located in a quiet secluded residential area at the end of a private road offering incredible views of alpine peaks such as the Aiguille Du Midi and Mont Blanc.

Its superb location offers easy two minute access by footpath into the centre of Chamonix with its numerous restaurant's, bakeries, supermarkets, ski and bike hire shops and bars.

Located on the sunny side of the awesome Chamonix Valley the gardens are a haven for wildlife such as Woodland Birds, and Red Squirrels with the occasional visits from Deer, Badgers, Sanglier and Alpine Wild Cats. Overhead you often can see Eagles and Bearded Vultures (Gypaète Barbu).

For skiers the Aiguille De Midi (which accesses the Vallée Blanche) and Brevant lifts are approx 5-10 minutes walk away. We are also less than five minutes walk from the free ski bus which goes to all the valleys ski areas and the Mt Blanc Express mountain railway which runs from La Fayet (with connection to Geneve) to Martigny and Verbier in Switzerland.

For trail runners it is perfectly located both for the Chamonix Marathon and the UTMB, TDS, CCC being two minutes stroll from the start and finish line. For practise or recreation there are numerous trail within a couple of minutes.

For mountain bikers there is an excellent repair and rental shop two minutes away and access to many trails is quick and easy.

For climbers, the nearest crag is Gaillands and there is easy rapid access to the high mountain climbs via the local cable cars. (including the start to the one of the Mt Blanc routes)

Equally parapenting is easily accessed whether solo or tandem. Base jumping is practised from the top of the Brevant which is about 20min up and under 2min down.

Then there is rafting, golf, a brilliant open air pool, ice rink, bowling alley, and even a alpine roller coaster all within a few minutes.

We can arrange door to door airport transfers and ski hire if required.

Available with Chalet Apartment Chamonix to accommodate groups of up to 9 people. Sauna and washing machine available when booked with Chalet Apartment Chamonix.

The Chalet grounds offer private parking for several cars.

“Great base for a ski or summer trip to Chamonix if alone or a couple”

My second stay this ski season which says a lot in itself. Very easy to book but on this occasion the owner went well out of their way to help me find accommodation on my first and last nights when the Alpine Rose wasn't available. My stuff was picked up and moved whilst I skied so you couldn't ask for more. The price is fantastic for Chamonix town making it affordable if staying on your own. However, the place would be awesome for a couple as very pretty especially at night with the external lights on. You have everything you need in the chalet and are very close to shops to get provisions or restaurants and bars to eat out. The bus stop is even nearer. Transfers to and from Geneva are cheap and easy with a shared service and the owner will also arrange these for you. I've never been to Chamonix in the summer but thinking about it now. I highly recommend Alpine Rose. I spent my last night in one of the owners other properties which would suit a large group and was even more central.
