Description from owner

The apartment is attached to the owner’s home and sits along side the strada del polaco (SP.321) on the outskirts of the historic town of Cetona.

This organic smallholding overlooking vineyards, olive trees and sunflowers. It is in the country, but still convenient for touring the rest of Tuscany and Umbria. The area is stunning with incredible views.

It is a 10-15 minute walk to the town of Cetona where you can have coffee in the piazza with the locals. There is also a shop that sells produce, one that sells meat, a bakery and convenience store for anything else you may need. There are a few restaurants in the town of Cetona itself.

The apartment has a double-bedded main room, bathroom with shower over bath, a full kitchen with gas cooker, fridge, wood burning stove, dining table with four chairs, a large balcony with table and chairs with views over the unspoilt countryside. The apartment would usually accommodate two people possibly three by arrangement, as in the main bedroom there is a futon sofa bed.

Amenities to include all towels including beach/swimming, bed linen, dishes and cooking utensils. A pleasant sunny garden with mature olive trees, lavender and roses surrounds the property where chairs and table are available for sitting and eating. Home grown organic produce available for purchase including olive oil, wine, honey, jam, eggs, seasonal vegetables and fruit.

Very Good

“Italian friendliness, food, wine and culture at its best - Cetona - Tuscany”

Reviewed 8 Sep 2015

What a fantastic experience in the Italian countryside. Two weeks tucked away from tourist mayhem. Even prior to our departure from the Middle East to start our holiday, the owners answered all our enquiries quickly, efficiently with sound advice. The accommodation was as described and perfect, and more than fulfilled our requirements. The property is centrally located to so many places of interest and if required close to rail if wanting to adventure further a field. The owners are very friendly and are able to supply lovely fresh farm produce, of which many a meal was made and enjoyed while seated on the balcony overlooking the valley to distant hills. Local environs offered great opportunities to further experience true Italian food, wine, culture and friendliness. We both would highly recommend a stay at Casa Degli Oliveli.

“A real taste of Italy!”

Having stayed here for the third time, I thought it was about time a wrote a review! This apartment is simple but well equipped and in a beautiful setting. The owners live onsite and have several acres of land where they grow a huge variety of their own organic produce, including wine and olive oil. It's a great base for exploring Tuscany - I recommend a day trip to Montepulciano which is just over half an hour away. Car recommended (although the owners did offer to take us to the train station in the nearest town which gives you access to various locations including Florence and Rome), the lakes are also worth a visit, where you can swim/sunbath. It's a great place to get away from it all and we hope to return soon!

“Home from home in Tuscancy”

Reviewed 1 Sep 2015

We have just spent a wonderful week at the charming Casa Degli Olivi, and personally cannot wait to return. The welcome received by Adrian and Fabio is second to none and they provide you with bottles of their home made red and white wine and excellent olive oil on arrival along with a supply of eggs fresh from the hen, tea, coffee, sugar, water and even milk. The apartment is immaculately clean, extremely comfortable, luminous and deceptively spacious. It is also very well equipped with everything that you need to rustle up Tuscan suppers using fruit and vegetables straight from the garden and enjoying eating it on the lovely terrace overlooking the lush Tuscan landscape. Cetona itself is delightful and unspoilt and the ideal place to mingle with the locals. The apartment is very well situated for Chuisi which has a mainline train link to both Florence and Rome, and Sienna and Montepulciano are within an easy sumptuous drive through the rolling hills past numerous hilltop villages - my camera now has 'burnout'!
