La Bastidonne is set in a stunning and peaceful location just a few minutes from Cereste, a village with everything you will need for your stay here. Five double bedrooms, three of which lead out onto a south facing terrace. There are three double beds and four singles. Beds are comfortable and good quality linen and towels are all included at no extra charge together with a final clean.

The house and area will keep you interested, relaxed, busy, joyful, satisfied,wanting more and definitely not wanting to leave.
You can expect your holiday here to be free and easy offering an opportunity to experience the laid back unhurried lifestyle of Provence visiting local markets to augment long lazy lunches, poolside afternoons and barbeque evenings. There is Television offering English programmes and soft beds for a good nights sleep
There are local towns to explore and the larger historical ones of Avignon, Arles, St Remy, Marseille and the Mediterranean resort of Cassis all approximately one to one and a half hours away.
Also there are places of interest, like the Gorges du Verdon and Colorado sand park in the local vicinity
La Bastidonne offers a comfortable stay for families in safe, calm and pleasant surroundings, while letting those who may feel they want to be more active, the chance to see more that this stunning area of France has to offer, however, we feel that once you are settled in, you may not wish to venture far.
The area is well frequented by walkers and cyclists.

The Luberon region
The climate is very dry with 300 sunshine days a year average.
There are many places to visit in the region including Avignon with the famous bridge and Le Palais du Papes. Arles has an Amphitheatre and connections with Van Gogh. St. Remy de Provence also has Van Gogh connections.
Other attractions in the region include perched villages, for example, Menerbes [Peter Mayles], Bonnieux and Gordes. There are too many vineyards to mention; most of the vineyards welcome visitors and have tastings.
At the beginning of August there is a local art festival in Cereste. It has several Roman ruins to explore and is on the Via Dominia route, the old Roman Road. Apt, has its famous Saturday Market and is also the Capital of the Luberon Nation Park.
Banon, home of the famous goats cheese wrapped in chestnut leaves. Forcalquier for a Monday Market and a good Pastis. Manosque, for its history of writing.
Locally there are many activities available, horse-riding, walking, including guides from the local tourist board, cycling, there are 2 bicycles here for your use. For astronomists the skies are quite wonderful and there is a local observatory.
