Description

This modern one bed apartment is ideally situated within the city walls just yards from the heart of the city but within a quiet residential area.

We offer FREE Private off street parking within the mews just yards from the apartment. The railway station is no more than 10min walk away and the heart the city with all its historic streets, buildings and sights is just a short stroll away. Located near to the River Ouse which runs through the centre of the city it is also within walking distance of the race course. With a short stroll you'll be enjoying the many historic sights, shops, pubs and restaurants York has to offer. The historic walled city boasts to many historic points of interest to list, with York Minster, the City Walls, The Shambles at the top. The apartment includes a fully equipped kitchen with oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster, dish washer, washing machine etc. The bedroom has a King-size Oak bed with memory foam mattress. The designer shower room is fully tiled and has a digitally controlled electronic shower with remote control, heated towel rail and underfloor heating. The Living/Dining area has oak flooring, oak dining table and chairs, leather designer sofa, nest of oak tables, 32" HD TV with built in DVD, FREE WIFI and a selection of books and films to enjoy. The property is fully double glazed and has a view over the river. There is a Sainsburys store, bakery, takeaway, cafe and restaurants only 200 yards away. If you like horse racing, history, shopping or just exploring this is the perfect place. So why not not come and spend some time in the beautiful City of York. Parking is un-allocated and on a first come basis.

Getting around

York is a very small city, you can cross the city in 30minutes so if you're coming by car you can park it and forget it while your here. All that York has to offer is within easy waking distance of the apartment, just check out the map on our page and read our reviews, If you are exploring Yorkshire, then this is the ideal base to travel to the coast or to the Yorkshire Wolds the, Yorkshire Dales or the North Yorkshire Moors before heading back to basecamp in the city.

Kitchen
The majority of or guests don’t actually cook this allows us to keep our cleaning fee to a minimum. We respectfully ask guests who use the kitchen/equipment, clean everything thoroughly using the dish washer provided and leave the kitchen as you find it.
Please don't use the towels or bedding to remove makeup.
Please don't wear sharp heels on the oak flooring.
We reserve the right to charge an additional £20 cleaning fee for guests who fail to observe these requests.

“Fantastic apartment”

Just spent 4 days at this lovely apartment, it had everything we needed,well equipped, clean, homely and very convenient to the city centre. York is absolutely lovely and we will definitely use this apartment when we return in the future. The owners are lovely and gave us all the info we needed about the apartment and things to visit and do while we were there. We loved every moment of our stay.

The apartment literally couldn’t be in a better place. It was so peaceful and quiet there but a short walk into the town centre and you had everything within reach. The apartment itself was done to an immaculate standard and every little detail has been well thought out to ensure you enjoy your stay. The free parking was a huge factor for us when booking this apartment but it excelled our expectations and we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend. Our host was amazing, very patient upon waiting for our arrival and filled with knowledge about the local area. We especially enjoyed the “Ghost Hunt” (meeting at the shambles at 7:30) lots of fun for the whole family! Thank you Nikki and Lindsay for the most perfect stay, it really made my 30th birthday. We’d love to come back again next year! Highly, highly recommend.

A friendly welcome, complete with welcome gift and time to talk through the amenities and info about the area and its attractions. This is a lovely place to relax and unwind, and the perfect base to enjoy York from at your own pace. Right in the centre of York with all the city centre's attractions within walking distance.

Can't fault the apartment in any way - equipped with everything you could possibly need and such an excellent location. We managed to see/do most things we wanted to do by dodging the showers, but will be back to finish off the rest! Thanks again. Ken & Pam. x

Modern, well maintained and clean throughout. 1 minute walk to the river and a few minutes walk to the city centre. Off road parking included, which is well lit for peace of mind. The apartment felt like a home from home as everything to make your stay comfortable seemed to have been thought about. A great personal touch meeting the owners to hand over the keys and we benefitted greatly from their knowledge of the area and suggested places to see and things to do, not only in York itself but also the surrounding area. Can't wait to go back soon.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Lindsay and Nikki (the owner) a message.

If Lindsay and Nikki (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
