“Excellent city centre apartment”

Reviewed 12 Mar 2014

We had a wonderful weekend in York in this lovely apartment. It's central location is ideal for visiting the city and is conveniently close to the station. It is decorated to a very high standard, top quality fixtures and fittings and spotlessly clean. The kitchen contained everything you could possibly need including an excellent 'welcome pack' - the best we've ever come across having stayed in lots of holiday rentals. The owner Karen is a pleasure to deal with and we would be very happy to return for a longer stay next time, we will definitely recommend it to others.

“Beautiful apartment in brilliant location”

Reviewed 1 Jul 2013

We stayed in Karen and John's beautiful apartment whilst visiting our family in York. The apartment was perfect for the four of us (my parents and husband) it is furnished to a very high standard and is immaculate. The location couldn't be better we did have the car with us but really didn't need it we walked into York for sight seeing in the day and in the evening for a couple of lovely meals. Considering the awful summer so far we had good weather quite warm at times we even managed an evening drink out in the courtyard of the apartment which was lovely. There was a great welcome pack the best one we have ever had! The wine and chocolate biscuits were very welcome thank you Karen and John. We will definitely return.

“A real Gem!”

What a find! Right in the middle of York, but oh so quiet! The parking space and the small courtyard garden just added to the lovely apartment! Very clean, very comfortable beds and a very welcome 'welcome pack'! We travel to York at least three times a year to see friends and normally stay in a hotel, but I am so pleased we stayed here! Looking forward to our next visit already! Thank you Karen!

“A very well presented City centre Apartment”

Reviewed 18 Mar 2013

We enjoyed a short break in this fantastic apartment,Karen and John had thought of everything,we found no faults. The apartment is so close to the city centre and yet SO quiet which is rare these days.We found the secure parking a bonus with own parking space close to the apartment.Enjoyed the welcome pack and the bottle of wine was a nice surprise for Barrys 60th.(thank you) Our only regret is that we did not stay longer,we have already recommended to our friend who is planning a holiday.

“Perfectly located, clean, modern and cozy apartment.”

Reviewed 14 Mar 2013

Karen was very friendly and helpful from the start with details on how to get to the apartment and what to do when we arrived. The apartment itself is in a perfect location with only a short walk to the centre of town making it easy to go back and forth during the day. This apartment was great for us as we didn't have a car during the stay. It's very close to bus and train links, a small supermarket, nightlife and plenty of restaurants. The apartment was exactly as described on the website, very clean and modern looking and a good size for a small group of friends. We particularly enjoyed being able to relax in the courtyard of an evening. We would highly recommend this for a friends getaway.

“An excellent find ... a beautiful apartment in the perfect location for attractions”

Reviewed 5 Mar 2013

This beautiful apartment is absolutely as described and the 6 previous reviews are accurate. Karen left us a fabulous grocery pack (we particularly enjoyed the wine - thank you Karen!). I was the first to arrive and received a lovely friendly welcome. The location is perfect...really, it is just a short stroll from the attractions. It was modern, spotlessly clean and warm and cosy. We were lucky enough to have a lovely day and had tea outside in the courtyard. To sum up, we will definately book to stay here again as a group but also as individual families...it really is that perfect. Oh, and value for money? Superb...it was less per head for each of us than an impersonal hotel. No brainer.

“Excellent Apartment”

Reviewed 18 Feb 2013

Warm welcome from Karen (owner), she showed us round and let us know how everything worked. We were given a starter pack which included a few essential groceries i.e milk, butter, cereal, coffee, juice etc. The apartment was spotless and could not find fault. Very well furnished and extremely modern. Beds extremely comfy and we all had the best sleep while we were here. Very spacious. We didn't realise how close it was to the city centre, only a two minute walk over the bridge and you are into the hustle and bustle of York. Lots to do and see and the Jorvick Centre is a must. Parking for apartment was excellent, an assigned space within a locked courtyard. Overall an excellent trip and would come back in a heartbeat. Thanks so much Karen and John for making our trip worthwhile as we feel accommodation plays a massive part in your enjoyment of your trip.

“Excellent apartment with warm welcome”

Reviewed 17 Feb 2013

We had a great time in this lovely apartment. It was very well equipped with everything you could need. Karen (owner) very kindly left us fresh groceries plus extras which was a very nice touch. The location of the apartment is great about a five minute walk from the town centre. Quiet area with secure off road parking. If we return to York we would definitely book this apartment again.

“Gorgeous appartment with an excellent location”

Reviewed 10 Feb 2013

We came to stay here for my husband birthday and had a brilliant time. The appartment was very stylish cosy and very homely and was immaculate Karen is lovely and provided us with all necessities ie: bread, milk, tea coffee etc and even a cake and a bottle of fizz for my husbands birthday which was so kind The appartment is in a great location literally a 5 minute walk from all the pubs/shops etc and you have your own parking bay which is always a bonus as city centre parking can be expensive i would highly reccommend this appartment for anyone coming to York as I would definately stay again

“Fantastic apartment in a great location”

Reviewed 21 Jan 2013

Myself and friends spent a great weekend in January at this apartment to celebrate my 50th birthday. We arrived at the apartment around tea time having been worried about getting there at all as the snow was frocasted to be heavy. The apartment was lovely and clean and warm and had all the home comforts needed to make any holiday a huge success. karen the owner had even provided us with a welcome grocery pack which was much apprecaited containing bread, milk, butter, tea and coffee etc. and even a chocolate cake and bottle of wine for my birthday Fantastic! Would not hesitate to recomend this aparment to anyone, great location close to shops, bars and resteraunts and the river, yet in a nice quiet street. Looking forward to going back again in the the summer!
