This impressive converted property is in the centre of the city, on the very doorstep of all that is interesting and exciting about York, you could not be better placed for a perfect city break, also within walking distance of train station, the now famous Bishy road shops and cafes and York race course. The house has gated parking in front of the building. The rooms are newly renovated, spacious and light and are furnished and equipped to a very high standard with leather sofas, flat screen TV, and CD player.

There is an en-suite shower room to the master bedroom and a light and airy family bathroom .

With all the local amenities just moments away you can enjoy the hustle and bustle of street entertainers, shops, restaurants/bars/cafes or relax with a peaceful river cruise/walk or a lazy picnic in the Minster Gardens.

Walk out of the complex gates and within minutes you are on the river banks of the Ouse with a view of the famous King Arms pub just a few metres away on the opposite bank. Within a few minutes you are in the City centre shopping and entertainment area with its famous narrow cobbled streets, boutique shops, restaurants to suit all tastes and a vibrant vibe at nightfall. You won't have far to walk after a day's shopping or a nights indulgence to return to the house. No need for taxis when staying at this property and the car can take a break for the duration of your stay as all of central York's historic buildings and many attractions are within 10 minutes walk.

If food is your thing, a night in, or a night out couldn't be more convenient, at the bottom of the street a fabulous Indian take-away (or eat in) is available and there are a multitude of other choices within the vicinity, as well as a shop to buy wine, ingredients or treats. If you prefer to dine out, less than two minutes walk will allow you a choice from restaurants such as Picalinos, The Living Rooms, Red Chilli Chinese, Akbars and Thida Thai. A few minutes more and your choice widens to encompass every style, cuisine and budget.

Quite simply, there isn't a better location to be in York and this is reflected in the fact that this is one of the most sought after and exclusive areas to own a property in the City.

“Fabulous accommodation”

Stayed here during our recent trip to York and loved the accommodation. Not only did the place feel cosy and homely, but the beds were comfy and the facilities were superb. The fact that there’s two toilets and showers also proved convenient, with the dining space and living room being very cozy. We’d highly recommend this place to anyone staying in York and will definitely stay again if available when we return to York.

We stayed in a comfortably furnished townhouse just 5 minute walk from the centre of the city. York genuinely has something to suit everyone but it’s the historic buildings that are the most striking aspect of any visit. We bought a “York Pass” via the website before our visit so it felt like the attractions were free to enter (they weren’t) We made the most of our pass and so tried to do everything for our two days worth. The river cruise was the most disappointing thing- there really isn’t a lot to see from the river Ouse through the city (we expected more) though the pilot tried his best. The shopping is great, we found people friendly and welcoming and lots of restaurants to try. Loved it

Lovely house with everything you could need in a great location. 5-10 minutes walk from centre, but loads of shops/bars and restaurants nearer. Any queries to the owner were answered quickly. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if in York.

Excellent location and very peaceful, yet just a short walk to the numerous attractions, restaurants, coffee and tea houses York has to offer. We did the wall walk and found it a lovely way to get your bearings. The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay, short or long. Trudi, the owner, will respond happily and promptly to any queries you may have and booking your stay is dealt with very professionally. I would definitely book this property again.

A really enjoyable stay in this house. Being located just a short walk from the City Centre was great, and no problem for our kids to walk. The house is on a cul-de-sac which meant no road noise, and a reserved parking space for the property meant we could come and go with no concerns about parking when we returned. The house was well equipped and felt just like home from home. Will definitely return in the future.

Nice fairly quiet townhouse just inside the walls, 5min walk and you are in the centre. Spacious downstairs, nice bedrooms with high ceilings. Car parking can be a bit tight, but at least it's free. Great stay and will definitely stay again, (already booked for October)

Beautiful house in a quite residential area, the house is maintained to a very high standard with everything you could possibly need. York town Centre is approximately a 10 minute walk way where there are numerous bars and restaurants to be found. We had an amazing 4 night stay and will definitely be returning in the future, I can highly recommend this property.

This is a comfortable,cosy and convenient home for a stay in York. It was easy to drive into York and park within the secure courtyard. The adjacent space makes it convenient to unload the car.We found the seating and beds very restful ........ important as one gets older! Plenty of hot water and the heating is efficient. There are shops and restaurants nearby. The area seemed fairly quiet, just a few people walking past later at night ... we stayed midweek. The owner is very helpful and responded rapidly to my queries.

This was our second stay at this beautiful townhouse, the townhouse is super clean and spacious enough for us as we're a family of 5. The townhouse is central to all that York central has to offer. Trudi is so helpful and professional as always, were looking forward to our stay next year.

This lovely townhouse is in a fantastic central location within walking distance of all the attractions of York. Situated in a nice quiet street quite close to the train station. The property has everything you could possibly need and is very well kitted out. We really appreciated the early entry on our arrival and the second set of keys. Would definitely stay here again.
