“Nice central apartment”

Reviewed 12 Jul 2019

Apartment is just fine for our family. Its modern and quiet and we have stayed here several times, Its ideal for the centre of York and has great views over the river.

“Stunning location, Beautiful flat, Amazing Views and Amenities!”

Reviewed 2 Dec 2018

Alison is wonderful, and the instructions for obtaining the keys were explained in detail in the message. I felt borderline "James Bond" as I worked through the directions and tips. I had no trouble with any of it, and before we knew it we were inside the cozy and comfy flat. The car space is an added perk, especially in a City such as York. If I had any questions, Alison was kind and prompt with the answer. The bottle of wine, and the treats on the bed pillows only lent an added air of magic and genuine hospitality to the already perfect accommodation. We stayed for two weeks, and could have stayed indefinitely if possible! It's truly a nice location and a relaxing getaway suitable for anyone looking for a carefree holiday respite! Everything you need or want is within walking distance from the apartment. The neighborhood and proximity couldn't be any better. We enjoyed every aspect of our stay immensely, and look forward to our return sometime soon. Thanks again, for a lovely and memorable stay. You are superlative hosts, and your generosity and courtesy remains exemplary.

“Pefect Location, Fab Accomodation, Great Space”

Reviewed 22 May 2018

The Emperors Wharf Apartment was a great venue for our ladies weekend. The apartments position on the river bank was utterly delightful and very accessible to all the amenities and tourist attractions York has to offer. The apartment was spacious and felt very safe and secure. My only concern with the apartment was the exits to both balconies. The small balcony had a high step and a low door stanchion making it extremely likely that you would bang your head unless you were always very careful. The entrance to the larger balcony had a very high step which you can very easily trip over. Other than that the whole experience was very positive and I would recommend this as a great place to stay.

“Fabulous”

Reviewed 9 Mar 2018

Easy to book, amazing position, friendly greeting by Sean and right in the thick of everything to do in York.Apartment was full of everything you needed and lovely and clean, Couldn't have asked for anything better and to top it all off it was a very peaceful spot!

“Visit for conference”

Reviewed 29 Nov 2017

Booked a 5 night stay to attend a conference at the Park Inn. Couldn’t have been more convenient. It was less than 10mins walk and so much better than any hotel. We were hampered in our enjoyment of the York experience by the fact that Mum wasn’t well but the flat was great despite our limitations. Mum spent most of the first 3 days in bed in the very comfortable master bedroom whilst I was busy at my meetings. Absolutely ideal location. Well equipped, very comfortable and warm. Sainsbury’s local and Tesco express very easy walk from the flat and Marks and Spencer’s just a bit further. Fabulous views of the river from the balcony. Hard to tear ourselves away from the rowing races we were lucky enough to see over the weekend. Marginal downside to the fab location was the noise from the other side of the river from boisterous evening revellers at pubs on the quay and Ouse Bridge. Suspect this depends on time of year and wind direction but wouldn’t detrr me from booking again. If anyone comes to York with someone who has limited mobility (ours was thankfully short term) then we had superb service from Shopmobility York. £7.50 a day for wheelchair hire and what lovely people. Also free use of wheelchair at York Designer Village(though we should have precooked) again great service. In summary, ideal location, well equipped and comfortable accommodation with fabulous views. I’d book again

Fantastic apartment, well equipped with lovely views over the river Ouse and towards the city centre. An ideal base for exploring the city and beyond.

“Excellent stay”

Reviewed 20 Mar 2017

Lovely clean modern flat. We stayed for three nights. Two separate bedrooms, one double room en suite and one bedroom with twin beds plus separate bathroom with shower. Beds very comfortable and the flat overlooks the River Ouse. Just 10 minutes walk into town Centre.

Beautiful apartment everything we needed stunning views would definitely come back again would highly recommend this too anyone

“lovely”

Reviewed 14 Sep 2016

This was a perfect place to stay for visiting York. situated on the main river, a few minute walk into the main town and attractions but still very quiet, except some noisy geese one morning. The apartment has 2 balconies to while away a few hours sitting by the river. Was fully equipped with anything we needed. Warm and cosy. The underground carpark is ideal but don't take a very large car. Easy to book, sean promptly met us at the property when we arrived and showed us around.
