The rooms are newly renovated, spacious and light and are furnished and equipped to a very high standard with leather sofas, flat screen TV, free Wi- Fi, CD player with I Pod docking staition.

There is an en-suite shower room to the master bedroom and a family bathroom with skylight window to gaze at the stars whilst relaxing in a hot bubble bath.

Walk out of the complex gates and within minutes you are on the river banks of the Ouse with a view of the famous King Arms pub just a few metres away on the opposite bank. Within a few minutes you are in the City centre shopping and entertainment area with its famous narrow cobbled streets, boutique shops, restaurants to suit all tastes and a vibrant vibe at nightfall. You won't have far to walk after a day's shopping or a nights indulgence to return to the house. No need for taxis when staying at this property and the car can take a break for the duration of your stay as all of central York's historic buildings and many attractions are within 10 minutes walk.

If food is your thing, a night in, or a night out couldn't be more convenient, at the bottom of the street a fabulous Indian take-away (or eat in) is available and there are a multitude of other choices within the vicinity, as well as a shop to buy wine, ingredients or treats. "Great property, very convenient to explore York"

This property is great to explore York, it is within the city walls and a 5 minute walk into the city centre. This was great for us as we have teenagers so were able to leave them sleeping whilst we enjoyed morning walks on the city walls. The house had everything you needed and the welcome pack was a lovely touch. Trudi was a pleasure to deal with from booking the property through to departure. We did have a small problem with the shower but one call and this was quickly resolved. We did not find the bed overly comfortable (probably personal choice) it did also creak with every movement but this did not affect our stay. Overall would recommend this property.

"Delightful house in York"

We have just got back today from a wonderful week in York. We have been to York before and have stayed in B&B accommodation so thought we would book a house this time. No 6 Bishops Court is a fantastic town house with everything you will ever need, spotlessly clean, parking and right on the door step of all York has to offer, we couldn't have found anything better, would book definitely book again!

Nice House, Central location for visiting all York has to offer. No need to use car. Nice Places to Visit, Whitby, Dalby Forest Park near Pickering, Knaresbororough on a nice day.

"everything you need"

This home is everything you need. Close to all attractions in York we never moved the car once as house close to everywhere we wanted to go just a couple of minutes walk away. Lovely clean house with a generous welcome pack waiting for you. Plenty of storage space. Info folder very helpful with ideas of places to go. Lots of nice bars and place to eat within a stones throw. Many thanks on letting us rent your beautiful property and we will definitely book again.

"Very clean and comfortable"

We found number 6 beautifully clean and well presented. A real treat to find wine, milk, fruit juice and bottled water in the fridge. We were pleasantly surprised to find how near it was to York town centre.

"Wonderful in every way"

We have just spent a short break here and had a wonderful time. The house is as welcoming as its owner and has everything you need to guarantee a relaxed holiday. It has a parking place and is in a quiet courtyard setting minutes away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It was so nice to be able to come back in an evening after a busy day visiting various places. I would definitely recommend staying here and look forward to a return visit soon.

"Home from home!"

A real home-from-home! Loved the extras-including a cold bottle of wine in the fridge! Perfect location for walking to the city and all its attractions. Safe parking for the car. Trudi was great - from booking the stay to queries, nothing too much trouble. Thoroughly recommend!

"Great location, lovely comfortable house."

Spent the weekend in York with friends. The house has all you need for a great weekend away. Welcome pack is a lovely touch. Easy walk to town and station, no need for a car. Will happily recommend.

"Super accommodations!"

This is a great place to stay. The location is close to everything but quiet when you want to sleep. The layout is perfect for a family of 4. Clean, comfortable and a super price. Internet connection was fast and reliable. Trudi was easy to work with and a pleasure to meet. Stay here. You will be glad you did!

"Excellent Accommodation"

Booked this town house for a 4 day break. The location was brilliant, river, bus route (for open top touring bus), pubs, shops and attractions all within easy walking distance. House was wonderful, very comfortable and welcome pack greatly appreciated. Trudi very helpful and quick to respond to emails. Home from home. Would highly recommend this property. If looking for a place to stay in York within easy reach of centre without the noise then this is just the ticket.
