A 5 minute walk from Dukes Lodge along a parade of shops and restaurants, takes you to York Theatre and Arts Museum, or the famous Minster. York has immense historic and cultural value as the old Roman capital of England and is a wonderfully vibrant shopping centre; boasting of over 30 visitor and Museum attractions, excellent cafe bars, restaurants and pubs. An excellent base from which to explore some of the most critically acclaimed landscapes in the north of England (No. 1 in the Observer magazine's top favourite cities poll-2008).

This is any holiday makers dream- to explore the wonderful city of York from a peaceful location. Duke's Lodge has just been tastefully and uniquely refurbished to reflect the bygone era of Georgian times, yet with all the mod cons and comforts of contemporary living. The studio has been painstakingly decorated with individual charm. The studio sleeps 2 adults, with 1 four poster bed, kitchen, and diner and en suite bath with integral shower . It is finished within the highest standards of self catering luxury, with co-ordinating furniture, luxurious furnishings and sumptuous drapes and decor. A welcome arrival and complimentary pack always awaits you in your room, along with plush towels, toiletries and cosy robes.
