The Veneto region
The cities of Veneto are jewel cases that preserve precious historical and artistic relics. Our region is a rich land, which is embellished with the enduring stamp of the Serenissima Republic.
From Venice you can easly reach:
It has been included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites since 1994. The splendour of Vicenza lies in the theatricality of its works by its celebrated adopted son, Andrea Palladio. The sensual colours of the Berici Hills act as the backdrop
Its symbolic monument is the Arena, the amphitheatre with almost 2000 years of history. While the palaces and courtyards are connected to the mythical Romeo and Juliet, Verona continues to enchant the whole world.
An elegant city with a discreet charm. One of the most significant attractions is the Basilica of St. Anthony, but Padua's artistic and cultural heritage can be discovered in every corner of the historical centre.
Behind the heavy gates of villas and palaces, under the porticos and in the gardens, here there is a sense of distinction and refinement of Treviso. While a warm light brushes the small cobbled squares, the silent alleyways, and the façades of the frescoed houses
Riviera del Brenta
Famous for the magnificent villas built along the River Brenta but also rich in museums and historical buildings of great artistic and cultural importance.
[from Veneto official web site]
Less than two minutes away from the flat is the lively Via Garibaldi with its typical market, shops, small restaurants where you can enjoy traditional dishes with pleasant background music and lively bars to drink a "spritz", the typical Venetian aperitif, accompanied by "cicheti" ("nibbles").
Thanks to its position, the "Ca' Zuane" flat is perfect for admiring not just the great masterpieces of architecture and art which have made Venice famous throughout the world, but also for discovering the hidden and characteristic corners which help make the city uniquely fascinating and unforgettable.

"apartment like home in magnificent location"
Silvia was helpful in her email responses and offered everything we needed to know to make our arrangements. She was there to greet us and give us all the instructions on the apartment and her excellent English made it all easy. She lives next door, but we had no need to call on her during our stay. This apartment far exceeded our expectations and was much larger than we expected. We are travelling with 2 children and they were very excited to have their own loft room, which was very comfortable and had plenty of space. The high ceilings and nice furnishings made it very comfortable and plenty of room for the 4 of us. The bathroom was clean and nicely appointed. The kitchen had a washing machine which we have discovered is an essential when a family of 4 is travelling for a long period. The gas cooker made preparing meals easy, even with the limitations of only 3 rings and there were adequate utensils and pans for our needs. Reaching the apartment was easy on a single vaporetto from either the train station or the car park or coach drop off at Pl. de Roma. If you are arriving by Vaporetto, ask for directions for the short route through the park. It is only a 3 minute walk, no bridges to negotiate. Walking to Piazza San Marco can be done in an easy 20 minute stroll, with time to enjoy the view along the way. Finding your way home is easy here as the park is an excellent landmark. Also great to have a green space for the kids to run off some steam and there is a nice bar for coffee in the park while they play. The apartment is in a quiet street away from the tourist traffic, though the church bells do ring some mornings around 8.30am. There are ample cafes, restaurants, fruit stalls and small supermarkets within 5 minutes walk. We thoroughly enjoyed our week in Venice and would come back to Ca Zuane in a flash.

"Calme et bien situé"
L'appartement est situé dans un quartier calme, proche du vaporetto, des commerces (épicerie, pizzeria) et d'un parc arboré avec aires de jeux pour les enfants. L'appartement est très bien équipé, très propre, fonctionnel. Location que nous conseillons sans modération... Merci à silvia, la propriétaire, qui de surcroit parle français.
