“Comfort in Venice”

Reviewed 13 Sep 2013

Wayne (Victoria, BC, Canada) Review submitted: September, 2013 Date of arrival: October 8, 2012 Many thanks to Sabrina and Paolo for the use of this beautiful apartment for one month in October. We loved Venice and we "lovvved" the apartment. Making arrangements on-line with Sabrina was easy. We appreciated being met at the unit. The apartment was everything advertised and more. It was clean, roomy, bright (lots of windows), well cared for (inside and out) and comfortable. It felt more like a home than "a rental" due to the wall art and glass. A few minor problems arose and were immediately addressed. We were fortunate to have lots of sunny weather and made use of the table and chairs on the balcony. The apartment is away from the "beaten track" of tourists yet very close to all the main attractions. It is easy to access vaporetto stops either on the Grand Canal or the Hospital side of the island. Because we stayed for a month we purchased the IMOB pass and were able to use the vaporettos, paying like a local rather than like a tourist. From our balcony we loved to watch and listen to the young children coming and going to school. The bar "Al Ponte" across from us was one of our favorite spots. Bar patrons were respectful of the residents. The wooden shutters on the apartment windows helped shut out noise. A person who needs absolute quiet to sleep could be bothered by the outside sounds. Although there were small supermarkets close to us we shopped daily at the Rialto Market for our fresh veges, fruits and fish and used closer shops for breads and pastries. We found shopping at the Rialto to be very economical We plan to return to Venice again and hope that we will be able to stay in Sabrina and Paolo's apartment.

This could not have been any better. The location is great, Sabrina is more than great!! Because of a change in plans we were able to get into the apt. a week early. Sabrina was very understanding and helpful. the apt was clean & well appointed. away from the touristy are a bit, which we found great. still plenty of things close by. We look forward to going to stay there again some time.

“Amazing apartment & area”

Reviewed 13 Sep 2013

Myself & 2 friends stayed in Sabrina's apartment for a week, prior to taking a cruise, and I have to say it was fantastic. The apartment has everything you would ever need for your stay. It was amazingly clean and Sabrina and her husband are very easy to contact and are most helpful. One of the highlights of the apartment is the very large patio that you have there at your disposal. You are walking distance from a supermarket and major tourist sites. If you are looking for a GREAT place to stay in Venice, THIS IS IT!!!!!!

“Wonderful, fabulous stay!!”

Reviewed 8 Jun 2012

We had the most amazing week in Venice, with Sabrina's fabulous apartment making it all the more special! The apartment was in a spectacular spot, overlooking Ss Giovanni et Paulo and the Ospedale - both fabulous buildings. The apartment itself had absolutely everything we could want and was so well equipped that we wanted for nothing. The terrace was the crowning glory as we just loved watching the world go by with an Aperol Spritz in our hands while preparing to go out to one of the many restaurants. The terrace overlooked a lovely busy street, with people going about their daily business, people having a coffee in the cafe opposite (lovely by the way) and the little bar on the corner where the people running it couldn't have been nicer. We could have stayed another two weeks (we were there for a week) and we still wouldn't have done all we wanted to do. There is so much to do in Venice. Our feet were aching at the end of most days from walking, travelling on the Vaporetti but it was all worth it! Sabrina was so helpful with our arrival and was always at the end of the phone if we needed anything (but she had been so helpful beforehand that we didn't need to bother her). Thank you again Sabrina! We would love to come back another time. Jan and Ray Williams

“Best holiday flat ever”

Reviewed 10 May 2012

The flat, in an historic building painted by Canaletto, was elegant, practical and well-maintained. It was close to a convenient vaporetto for both the centre, the airport and the islands and was within reasonable walking distance of both Rialto and San Marco. For once, the kitchen worked perfectly and contained all the big and little items that a traveller could need. The terrace was an additional attraction; it is nice to look out on a busy and friendly street and Campo. (Light sleepers beware, though: there is a friendly bar full of happy people just across the street. We enjoyed the ambiance, but not everyone would.) We were very happy. Need Isay more?

“Fantastic location and beautiful apartment”

Reviewed 8 Jan 2012

We loved everything about this rental! Sabrina, the owner, was very welcoming and her apartment was very beautiful. The neighborhood was great and it was easy to get everywhere. Having our own apartment made the trip to Venice very special.

“Great place to stay in Venice”

Reviewed 7 Jan 2012

We absolutely loved this rental apartment in Venice. We stayed there for a month and felt like it became "our" apartment. It is very roomy for a one-bedroom apartment, has lots of storage space, a very comfortable bed and a kitchen that is easy to make meals in. It is well-equipped. If any problems arose, Sabrina and her husband came immediately to deal with them. It is in a great location, close to groceires, shopping, and restaurants. It is in a busy area, but all noise stops at 11 PM so we had no trouble sleeping. The terrace was a wonderful addition and we loved sitting there, watching Venetian life go by. We will definitely stay there again.
