A cosy charming studio with capacity for two people, located on the first floor of century-old house with historical, totally renovated in 2011. It has a fully equipped kitchenette, air conditioning (hot / cold). Bed linen, towels and weekly cleaning included. It has a small balcony overlooking one of the main streets of the city of Tavira, overlooking the castle.

The studio is located in the historic center and main shopping streets of the city of Tavira, 3 minutes walk from the castle, 200 meters from City Hall and the river Gilão, with services such as ATM, pharmacies and cafes, a few steps of the house. The ferry pier to the island of Tavira (beach) is about 5 minutes on foot.

We loved this studio. It's much bigger than we thought it would be. Excellent location. Lovely to sit at the balcony and watch the world go by in the afternoon when the sun was on that side of the street. We will definitely be back!!!

Im perfekt ausgestatteten Studio zentral in Tavira habe ich mich sehr wohl gefühlt. Man war mittendrin im portugiesischen Leben. Auch die Fähren zur Isla waren in der Nähe, der Bahnhof gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. Melanie und Valter sind sehr nette und hilfsbereite Vermieter. Danke für den netten Aufenthalt!

Studio 39 is exactly that, a studio apartment. When the Loft apartment in the same building was not available we decided to take the smaller space. It was wonderful. In a 300 year old building with a history that long, the space is bright, clean and airy. Inside the very thick walls the decor is white and green by Ikea. Two floor to ceiling windows share a shallow, wrought iron "Juliet" balcony overlooking the street. With the windows open the street noises are pleasantly busy. Almost total silence is achieved, however, by closing the balcony doors and shutters. With AC available, we had wonderfully quiet sleeps. The apartment is equipped with everything you could need. A large armoire allows suitcases to be unpacked and put away. The bathroom is spacious with a wonderful shower and, again, deep drawers for storage in the vanity. Tavira has many cafes and restaurants to try and we did that but certainly breakfast and lunch in the apartment are easy. We ate in one night, using the two burner electric cooktop and electric oven. A Mini-Preco supermarket is nearby for basics. For a larger selection, the Conteniente supermarket is not far. O Castelo restaurant is just up the street near the steps to the castle (definitely try it) and Azursul and Bica as well as Ponte do Encontre are a short walk to the other side of the river. Valter, the owner, is beyond helpful and extremely knowledgeable about the area. When a minor start up glitch occurred with the WiFi, he was right there to resolve it. There is so much to see in Tavira and this apartment is in a perfect location. The river and adjacent park, the castle, the Camera Obscura, the much. Lastly, the homemade ice cream stand in the park along the river is excellent -with a nod to the wonderful Portuguese oranges, they have developed an orange ice cream with crumbled chocolate and candied orange zest.

Studio 39 was a great base for which to explore Tavira and surrounding areas. Close to the train stations of Tavira and Porta Nova and the bus station a five minute walk away. The river and the roman bridge was at the bottom of the street. It was central to everything. The ferry to Tavira Island was five minutes away by foot. The studio small but adequately equipped consisted of a cooker / oven microwave toaster fridge and a coffee maker and a shower room . We stayed for 1 week and we were met by the owners after we had to contact them to say we were at the studio, we were given two bath towels and two smaller towels and a towel for the floor , there was a hairdryer in the bathroom. We asked for extra towels and the same amount as we had been given were delivered by the owner on the 4th day of our stay, so we were pretty pleased they had honoured our request. There are a few pavement cafes on the stretch of studio 39 one of which is below the property that sells delicious pastries etc. Pharmacies cafes and clothing shops are also on the street. There is some slight vehicle noises late evening and early morning as people were passing the studio on their way to work but it didn't interfere with our sleep and after all it was situated on the main street. We are thinking of returning back next year and staying at studio 39 as we loved the location and the cleanliness of the property. Not for people with disabilities as steps to climb up to property

thank you very much Melanie and Valter!you and your lovely studio 39 made our stay a memorable one.We spent 9 days with our 10 year old son in the flat and we can recomment this place to everyone.All property descriptions are fully correct and the studio is just a short stroll to the ferries heading towards the awesome islands,grocery store,train station and all the restaurants/shops/bars.Just a short trip by Taxi and we were in Santa Luzia and from there with ferry to Praia do Barril or Praia da Terra Estreita.Estreita was our favourite.Once during our stay we were at the fish /vegetables market and prepared dinner in the studio-all seafood and fish in high quality and a lot cheaper than in germany.All necessary kitchen utensils are in the studio,too.The restaurants "BICA" and "O´MANEL"were our favourite ones and less than 5 minutes walk from studio 39.After a long hot day on the beach we slept well due to the modern, excellent working air condition.Car hire is not essential because of the central position of the studio. “Fantastic apartement, location & town”

We had a wonderful stay in the Apt 39 for 3 nights in middle of May 2013. This apt is all you want when travelling - clean, functional, with great shower and location and small but functional kitchenette. My husband's only complaint was that the internet connection was slow (as he was distance working) but that's it; otherwise this apt offers a great value for money and as we'd love to come back to Tavira (Lovely place, with great food and chilled town life), we definitely want to come back to studio 39 again!

“Immaculate & cosy place in an enchanting location”

The apartment is bright and cheerful with new appliances and decor. The place was immaculate and felt like we were the first to visit. Big plus was a fantastic shower! It is perfectly located on the main street of Tavira's quaint historical township. Everything is within walking distance including the cafe's and restaurants which are located just over the Roman bridge. We traveled to neighboring towns and found that Tavira was the most enchanting of them all. Small enough to relax & explore the cobble streets but big enough to offer everything you'll need. The owners were helpful and lovely and we would fully recommend staying at this apartment.

Price was a big factor in choosing this apartment and it exceeded all my expectations. Roomy, modern, very clean and on one of the main streets. It is a short walk to the river, not far from the station and I found Tavira to be a real gem of a town. The bus from the airport to Faro and then train to Tavira was easy and cheap. The owners were very helpful. Hope to return later in the year, totally recommended.

A lovely, bright modern space with big windows in a good, central location near to all restaurants, shops, the river etc. Nicely laid out and spotlessly clean. The friendly helpful owners live upstairs so in the event of any problems (and there weren't any) it's easy to find them. It has super-secure locks on both doors, motion sensitive lights in the hallway
