“Sightseeing base with view of versuvious”
Compact apartment with great owner who collected us from the station. The owner lives next door which is handy if you have a problem, although we didn't. The main room is a good size with a large wardrobe, the kitchen is a converted balcony so has windows the full length looking out to the bay of Naples and Versuvious which great for breakfast before you go off sightseeing. The only downside would be the compact shower for anyone of a large size but otherwise the bathroom is more than adequate. The appartment is a five min walk from the train station for the circumversuviana and less than ten mins walk into the historic part of town, 15 mins to the harbour for hydrofoil boats to Capri and Ishcia islands and Naples. There is a supermarket just around the corner on the Corso Italia. Lots of great fruit and veg shops, cafés plus resturants nearby for eating in the evening after your day sightseeing.
