“What a fantastic little gem!”

Reviewed 8 Sep 2016

We stayed in the very well equipped house for two weeks. We arrived before the designated arrival time and Rhian allowed us to drop off out luggage, which was brilliant and gave us the opportunity to walk into town The location of the house is fantastic, the town, river, and festival site all within walking distance. The house was perfect for us and our friends, the garden being a real bonus! The welcome pack was a great surprise and very much appreciated. We loved it so much we have already booked for three weeks next year.Rhian was so accommodating nothing was too much trouble. We look forward to our next visit. Many thanksAlison and Steve

Thanks for taking the time to write a review Alison & Steve, much appreciated. You were great guests, I look forward to seeing you again next year

“Lovely accommodation in ideal setting for access to town and country.”

Reviewed 8 Apr 2016

Family booked a few days to celebrate a special birthday and we all had a lovely experience. The cottage was well equipped with additional advantage of a garden and small terrace area. It is within walking distance of Shrewsbury and gives easy access to the surrounding countryside.

Thankyou Deborah. So glad you had a good stay and a memorable birthday I hope.

“First class terraced house accomodation”

Reviewed 8 Mar 2016

The property has been well refurbished with all amenities provided. A lovely rear garden offers opportunities to relax in the sun with adequate privacy. The bustle and action in the brilliant Shrewsbury town centre is a shortish walk away. The owner is friendly, welcoming and professional. Enjoy

Thankyou. Glad you enjoyed staying at No 53 and liked Shrewsbury

“Excellent quiet accommodation close to town centre”

Reviewed 22 Nov 2015

The house is cosy and comfortable with all the equipment for a trouble free stay. Heating and hot water is constant if required, with the added attraction of a sitting room log burner. The nearby pubs were, as detailed in the house notes, friendly and welcoming. The town was a revelation in respect of the multitude of old, well kept, medieval timbered houses, shops etc, combined with modern shopping facilities.

Thankyou for taking the time to write a review. Glad you liked our little gem of a town. Hope to see you again

“Lovely house in an ideal location”

Reviewed 12 Nov 2015

The accommodation was first class, spotlessly clean with lots of space and everything we needed. There were folders with lots of information about the area, travelling and places to eat; the kitchen was well appointed; rooms were comfortable and the log burner was very cosy. It took 15 minutes to walk along the river to town and Shrewsbury was full of interesting places to visit. Rhian was so helpful, and we wholeheartedly recommend number 53 as a great place to stay.

Thank you Trudi, much appreciated that you took the time to review. Hope you get your own wood burner soon x

“Well planned and pretty cottage”

Reviewed 27 Jun 2015

No 53 was well planned and had the luxury of two bathrooms. We enjoyed the pretty garden and seating areas. There was some concern about parking but we always found somewhere. Shrewsbury is very busy and difficult to drive round so we would recommend park and ride if the walk to town is difficult for any member of the party. A very convenient and attractive property.

Thankyou for your review. Glad you enjoyed your stay.

“Lovely cottage in convenient location.”

Reviewed 5 Apr 2015

We really enjoyed our stay at No.53. It is in a great location and very well equipped. Parking wasn't an issue and it was lovely being able to walk into town. Communication with Rhian was very easy and we were made to feel very welcome. Hopefully we'll be able to book again next year.

Thankyou. Glad to hear you enjoyed your stay. I look forward to welcoming you again. Sorry for the slow reply.

“Home from Home”

Reviewed 27 Feb 2015

A lovely terraced house with everything you need for a self catering stay. Comfortable beds and hot showers. Parking is in short supply so if you had more than one car you would struggle but that was the only downside to this property.

Thanks for your review. Much appreciated. You do sometimes need to be prepared to look for a parking space in the evenings and weekends when spaces directly outside the property can be full, this however isn't a problem in the daytime when most residence are out at work.

“Cosy Retreat”

Reviewed 17 Feb 2015

Nice comfortable terraced cottage within easy walking distance to town centre. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and fast WIFI. Shrewsbury is a great little town with plenty to do and see and some good restaurants and an excellent theatre. Lovely river walk into town.

Thankyou, so pleased you enjoyed Shrewsbury and you were comfortable at No 53. Hope to see you again.

“Warm and welcoming, a real home from home.”

Reviewed 8 Nov 2014

Number 53 is fantastic. It is clean and comfortable, and the welcome which we received from Rhian was very much appreciated (a special thanks for the homemade biscuits and everything needed to make a cuppa when we arrived). Shrewsbury town centre it a pleasant 15 minute walk along the river. The house is warm and comfortable, and the kitchen is well equipped. Honestly, our favourite self-catering accommodation ever.

Thankyou Kelly, glad you liked it. So pleased the boys got to see the salmon jumping at the weir too.
