“Lovely experience in Paris *Very well located*”
The place is very well located. Second arrondissement is a perfect place to stay. If you are willing to walk, you may go to Louvre, Champs Elysees, Triumph Arc, and also Montmartre/Sacre Coeur without taking subway or taxi. I found subway a little bit confusing for non-french speakers. The building is very old, and needs reforms. According to proprietor, building will be restored along 2016. Although this has not disturbed our stay, because the studio is modern and has all the facilities for those on trip (hot shower, microwaves oven, cooktop, heater, dishes and glasses, coffeemaker, small refrigerator). The studio is really nest (as "nest" as I expected it to be), but it fits perfectly for a couple. We've stayed during autumn, and although the temperature was decreasing outside (around 10ºC during the night) we didn't need to turn on the heater (so, I can't tell how good it is). We have cooked our dinner almost every night, and nearby there are a plenty of markets with fresh vegetables and other quality articles. It is also easy to buy cheese, bread and wine, whether on supermarket or specialized stores. There is also a laundry service near, but we didn't need to use it. Special attention to the size of the luggage. Cabin size or medium size luggages will fit on the studio wardrobe, but a higher luggage won't fit. And remember you will have to carry up your luggage for 2 flight of stairs. I really recommend this studio for a young couple staying in Paris for a couple of weeks!
Owner's reply: Luis, my real sincere thanks for this very complete description. Wouaou you made it by walk to the Arc de Triomphe, you mus be the first person that did it. Now that you have seen the main touristic places you are welcome back and I will be pleased to advice you for secret Paris, just an idea for now and because you like to walk around Paris there are 25 km of very old railways that is the center of big wild gardens around Paris, with the specificity of each district and his architecture on borders... Merci and bientt.
“It is a small but lovely studio”
It is a small but lovely studio. Here You will find all necessary things. The house is in very good location (from Pompidou or Louvre just few minutes to walk). Near this place You can find many bars-restaurants, cheese and wine shops and metro stations. If you travel to Paris for short period (we stayed for 4 days) it is a perfect place to stay. Monic, the owner is very pleasant, she gave us all important information about Paris (prices, bars, transport and many other things). She showed us the best places near apartment, how to get to metro station, where to buy good French wine and cheese. If it is your first time in Paris the information she gives is very helpful. Thank You Monic for Your carrying!
Owner's reply: Sorry, juyust remember that I can answer to comment. Thanks for being so kind and being nice guest.
“Practical, perfectly positioned and typically French!”
We stayed 5 nights in this little apartment on Rue St Sauveur, and it was just what we wanted! It was clean, tidy, practical and good use of a small space. Very good location close to the metro station of Chatalet les Halles which connects both to Charle de Gaulle airport and the centre of Paris, as well as Disneyland! It is a very unique and attractive 'nest' and although small, it is perfect for travellers wishing to spend most days sight seeing in this beautiful city and having a typically French home to go back to at night! Very friendly owner who spent an hour introducing us to the possibilities available and advising us on our first trip around the city, all in all, perfect holiday!
Owner's reply: Merci, merci Oliver, did not expect that much... and now that you know the way :-) welcome back monic
“Great space, great location.”
My wife and I rented this little room for our honeymoon. The space is very limited but intelligently arranged with some storage space/cupboards in an old and beautifully atmospheric block. The window looks out onto other flats rather than a street but enough light comes in due to the high ceiling/windows. Everything we needed was in the flat - iron, kettle, towels etc and the modern shower was always hot. Monic, the owner left coffee, butter, marmalade, olive oil etc for us and was very helpful regarding sights of Paris, particularly Jazz bars!! The bed is up above on a mezzanine level in the same room reached by a small set of steps. The bed was not terribly comfortable but just about passable. The best thing about the flat is its location in the heart of Rue Montorgueil area close to m4 metro, 4 stops from Gare du Nord. A trendy, very Parisienne pedestrian area full of bakeries, delis and cafés. Truly wonderful. A great flat if you're looking for somewhere to cook/ make your own food and use it as a place to sleep/eat in great location but not a room that was great to relax in for long periods of time. Security deposit was also returned swiftly though there was some initial confusion about prices so make sure you check this with her before booking. Monic was always contactable and replied to messages quickly. A very memorable and enjoyable stay in a great area at a reasonable price.
“Very pleasant , excellent location .”
my husband and I stand a wonderful 4 days/4nights in paris , staying at monic's charming studio . Despite it's tiny size ( avoid large suitcases ) , the studio is well equipped , clean and very practically furnished . The biggest plus , of course , is the downtown location ! For Paris first timers like us , it was the perfect accomodation to experience the city's center . In addition the adajacent rue Montorgueuil serves every culinary need that you might have . Last but not least , Monic was a very welcoming and helpful host who gave us a thorough introduction to both the studio and the city . We would defenitly recommand Monic's cosy nest .
Owner's reply: Thanks Lea, I waas very pleased to receive you as guest and be welcome again. monic
