Beautiful and enormous loft which can be rented as one or two floors/apartments. This ad is for the upstairs apartment, message me if your group is larger. You can possibly rent both apartment.

This is my own home where I have lived and worked as an artist for over 10 years. It's full of lovely things and art. It's vast, but homey and cosy, and not an average rental just for letting purposes.

Gather a group of friends, or bring your family or meet your extended family. . Generally for this apartment 6 adults and 5 children max is what I would recommend. But there are beds for 11.

Very rare comfortable, light, luxurious space. Rest and recuperate in style and comfort after running round Paris all day!

Close to subway ( five min walk, direct to all tourist areas including Eiffel Tower 20 mins) and Orly Airport 20mins Centre of Paris, Notre Dame Cathedral is 7 mins on the train, 3 stops. Easy access to Gare Du Nord for Eurostar, CDG airport one change.

Parking easy and cheap in the street , 3 euros a day.

UBER cars for private drivers/taxi service.

Walk or cycle down river to the Notre Dame Cathedral ( 45 mins) or even to EIffel Tower. City bike rentals available on our street.

Huge supermarket round the corner, one block.

Private roof terrace.

Lots of comfortable beds. high thread count cotton sheets, duvets etc.

Ceiling fans, and portable air conditioning units, electric shutters/blinds for the skylights.

Laundry washer/drier available.

Close to public transport (station 5 min walk) with the best line to visit all Paris tourist spots, you can be in a beautiful haven, and yet 10 mins, 3 stops on the train from the centre of Paris (Notre Dame) and the Left Bank, or at the Eiffel tower in 20 mins, but staying away from the tourist masses. There are also cycle paths and city bike rentals, a huge supermarket virtually next door, and disneyland a 20 min drive. My guests and I also use the app UBER car, which is very convenient and like having a private driver, good if you want to go out in the evening for example and not use the metro.

Although this space is great for groups, I prefer not to have 'rowdy' groups, because part of the beauty of this space is the quiet and calm, and the neighbours work in these spaces and all know each other, so normal level conversation/music/tv etc is fine, but no loud noise after 10pm please. I have had some clients throwing parties, and that's just not fair with noise all night. If you wish to do this, I would like to know and the fee is different, especially if you are inviting a lot of people.

More info:

Three days a week (T,W,F) you can buy fresh produce and a variety of goods at a lively open air market in front of Ivry's historic City Hall. There are bakeries and restaurants in the vicinity, including the well-regarded Km3, featuring seasonal, gourmet, creative French cuisine. One block away there are indoor tennis and squash courts, and the river is two blocks, with walks to Paris. It's about 3 miles to the centre. For weekend al fresco restaurants and shops there is Bercy Village, a converted railway yard, with a very outdoor , buzzy and continental feel, with more gourmet food. The zoo, Natural History museum is just a walk or two stops away. A short walk or bike ride takes you across the Seine to the Bois de Vincennes. This is over 200 hectares of woods and the hunting Chateau of the Kings of France , and the main zoo. There is a Velib station (bike rentals) close by and cycle paths to St Germain. Just down the street the Le Luxy theatre offers a selection of French, independent and international films, as does the MK2 Bibliothèque Nationale (BNF) cinemaplex (20 min. walk or 1 stop on RER-C). The Pathe imax cinema and 20 screens is a 5 min walk, but shows film mostly in French. The Paris 7/Diderot and the École Nationale Supérieure d'architecture de Paris campuses are about 4-5 blocks away. Disney land is a 20 min drive.

In recent years, this area has experienced something of a revival and is now home to artists, writers, and musicians living and working in its reconstructed factory buildings. This post-industrial area has the highest concentration of artists in France.

The perfect setting for holiday, romantic weekend, sabbatical or recent guests came to run in the Paris Marathon.

Location description from owner

The Ile-de-France region

Paris is famous for it's tourist spots , Museums, Architecture, Romance... possibly the most beautiful City in the world, Versailles is also direct on the local train. RERC .Disneyland Paris 20min drive.

The loft is 3 miles from Notre Dame, the very centre of Paris. It is s about an hours leisurely walk, but you can get the public transport or rent city bikes, or use UBER cars.

Access all of Paris by the incredibly useful RER C train, 0.3 miles away, which runs along the river , stopping at all the important places where you can walk from.

So First stop.Bibliotheque, (2 mins on train) the new National Library, Paris Beach/Plage, beach bars, and very funky atmosphere for a city! Cross the river for Bercy Village, full of cute cafe's and restaurants. A real find!

then Austerlitz, for the Botanical Gardens, Natural History Museum, Zoo, The Mosque and fabulous tea house nearby. The sculpture park and tango dancing in the evenings, by the river.

St Michel/Notre Dame , third stop, 7 mins on train, here you are in the CENTRE of Paris, where Paris was founded (you can also walk, cycle, bus here ), Walk around the old city, stop in Cafe's, walk to the Louvre, or the Pompidou Centre. Walk to Boulevard St Germain.
Quai de Orsay, Fourth stop, the famous Impressionist museum is here, cross the river on the footbridge to the Tuileries Gardens and the Louvre. Walk to Boulevard St Germain.
Invalides, next stop, Napoleons Tomb and across the river the Grand Palais.
Pont de Alma, here is the Musee Branly, anthropological museum, cross the river to go up Av. George V to Champs Elysee, or Av Montaigne, for the main fashion shop headquarters!
Champs de Mars, Tour Eiffel , THE Eiffel tower! Cross the river to Trocadero with the museums, sit in one of the cafe's and have breakfast!
And so the whole of Central Paris is covered, probably the only change you need to make is to go to Monmartre/Sacre Coeur, where you need to change metro's

The metro tickets cost for unlimited travel on buses or trains 6,80 euros per day per person. Or there is a tourist ticket for 22 euros for three days. The velib bikes cost 8 euros for a week, and the bike station is at the end of the street about 100 m away. There are many cycle paths.

Central Paris

Paris 13th/Quai d'Ivry Ivry

The area is a post industrial area, with a huge concentration of artists, the highest in France , you can look at this area on usines-art-ivry.. it compares to loft areas of NY or Chicago . However it is also very central and by the river Seine , so you can walk/cycle/bus/train into the centre. and along the river, there a walks and cycle paths and it's very well organised.

There is a good modern and chic/trendy restaurant down the road, shops , cafe's etc. within yards, and several ethnic restaurants, and three cinemas, one independent with foreign films,(original language) the Luxy, one Multi cinema comples Pathe, with imax, and one international at Bibliotheqe, showing films not dubbed into French. There is a large shopping mall and huge hypermarket, literally round the corner, less than a block away, where you can buy food, local markets and organic markets, and what else, parks , the biggest park in Paris is across the river , 2500 acres,(there are bike rentals , velib , at the bottom of the road, indoor tennis courts at 100 yards... and of course the walk /cycle down the river.

There is Cour St. Emilion a converted railway yard , called Bercy Village, with cute and gourmet, restaurant;s, etc before Bibliotheque , the Bibliotheqe area, where in the summer there are beach bars and cafe's along the river (it's a lovely walk, I do it often) the Natural History Museum, St Germain, Notre Dame , all very close , walk, cycle, or one to three train stops... The RER C , a five minute walk away, goes all along the river to the centre of Paris and out the other side.. to Versailles. You can get directly to the Eiffel tower, Louvre, Quai d'Orsay, it's really very easy. It's the best train line in Paris in my opinion and pretty much takes you anywhere you might want to go, or walk to.
There is a local driver who is a friend and neighbour, to take or collect at night which can be convenient, and whom I use, also for early morning train station or airoport drop offs.

It's not architectually exciting apart from the lofts really, but it's very quiet and a lovely retreat from the crazyness and noise of the very centre, still staying easily accessible.

On the edge of Paris 13th, close to the School of Architecture,The University of Paris 7, The fashion school, the Zoo and the Natural History Museum. There are three parks nearby, the Bois de Vincennes, which is over 2500 acres and the largest Parisian park, a small park across the road, with a vegetable garden and a larger park across a railway footbridge, with a climbing hill and park for small children. Fantastic for 6-10 year olds I would say.
Ivry Port itself, is by the river, there are three cinema complexes nearby and a gourmet restaurant, and several ethnic restaurants.
There is a huge supermarket and shopping mall just about 100 yeards away, and also indoor tennis courts and squash courts.
Central Paris is a walk, a bike ride (Paris velib-rental bikes at the end of the street) and also there are buses, and a train which goes from Ivry-sur- Seine and takes 23 mins door to door to get to Notre Dame, and it's a direct line throught the centre of Paris to the Eiffel tower, the Louvre, the Quai d'Orsay, and it's very easy to get around.

“Great trip, perfect for two families”

Reviewed 6 Apr 2016

We traveled with two families, a total of six kids. The loft was roomy and fit all of our group perfectly.

Owner's reply: Thanks Symantha for your review, I'm glad you were comfortable and had a good time. Best wishes, Magdalena

“A Perfect Choice”

Reviewed 31 Mar 2016

After considering many other options, decided on this amazing loft because it had personality and when we arrived, we weren't disappointed! A short ten minute ride on the Metro and we were right in the center of Paris. After long days of walking around, it was great to come back to a clean and comfortable space that felt like a home. So many relaxing lounge areas, huge ceilings and an excellent kitchen. Would recommend this rental to anyone!

Owner's reply: I'm so glad you were happy at the loft, thank you for your recommendation. Best wishes Magdalena

“A most wonderful space”

Reviewed 31 Mar 2016

We stayed in the loft for two weeks and have just returned to LA. This is my second time staying at the loft, and it was wonderful, spotlessly clean and the sheets and beds and towels luxurious. It's getting more wonderful by the stay. We had a wonderful time, and really found a space we could relax in, whilst being able to hop into the very centre in 10mins on the metro, or about the same time in an UBER car. The Eiffel tower and the Louvre and the Orangerie (my favourite with the Monet water lily paintings), the Notre Dame cathedral are all on the local metro line direct, which goes along the river. Apart from the space and the incredible kitchen (which is rare in Paris) the convenience of the massive supermarket virtually next door (we love to cook, the choice is amazing, and mind-blowing, and the food prices half or less of other small stores), and the croissant and bread shop virtually five doors down, where we got our daily breakfast. The loft is really beautiful, full of super elegant and comfy sofa's to lounge in, and our vacation was also a relaxation after working really hard, so we wanted to chill as well as visit Paris. It's really great to be in such a lovely space, and the wifi and internet is really good, so we also could use that and relax at home. I got engaged while on my stay in Paris, and the loft was the most perfect place for it. I will definitely come back and stay on my next trip to Paris whether it be for business or pleasure, there are few, if any, spaces like this available in Paris. Highly recommend.

Owner's reply: So glad you had a good time, you are welcome to come again any time. Congratulations on your engagement, what a romantic city to be in for that event! Best wishes Magdalena

“Extremely well presented open plan spacious loft located in a beautiful courtyard”

Reviewed 14 Apr 2014

Magdalena is a wonderful host and made my stay a very welcoming and warm experience. The loft is extremely stylish mixing fine quality furniture and luxurious materials together to compose a very friendly and warm environment. The open plan communal spaces give a sense of grandeur and light with the kitchen area an integral part of the living area.. A great place for families and friends to get together for meals. The loft is situated in a large communal enclosed garden which is perfect for children to explore safely and for eating outdoors. There is allocated parking, easily access to underground tube stations and public transport. Supermarket is 2 minutes walk away. I would totally recommend this artist loft as a place to stay for a weekend, a week, or as a permanent residence. It is a very inspirational building which is very versatile and friendly. Perfect for families, for friends or for a single person. If you are looking for a fine quality and spacious place to stay within 2 minutes of a tube station, giving easy access to the centre of Paris, this is the place for you.
