This comfortable 2 bed apartment, set on the second floor of a Victorian building, is the perfect place to stay to enjoy the delights of Portobello market, Notting Hill and all that London has to offer. It's just a minute's walk to Portobello market and Ladbroke Grove Underground station. There's so much to see and do locally with plenty of places to eat. Ideal for short breaks or longer stays.

The apartment is fully equipped with everything you'll need for an enjoyable stay, and the price includes wifi, tea professionally laundered bedding and towels, tea, coffee, shampoo and conditioner! The main living space has a large sofa /sofabed, table and chairs, an armchair, and coffee table. The tv has Freeview and there is a DAB radio.

The kitchen has everything you need to rustle up your meals during your stay, including a hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine/dryer and coffee making equipment.

The bathroom has cream tiling, a shower over the bath, a small sink and a loo. There is also a hair dryer for guests to use.

Notting Hill is a cosmopolitan district known for its summer carnival and perhaps more famously, Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts in 'that' movie as well as the home of Rough Trade Records and other icons of the London music scene. It has a contemporary reputation as a fashionable area, known for attractive terraces of large Victorian townhouses, independent shops, restaurants and cafes.

The pastel-coloured homes are as iconic to London as Big Ben, and Portobello Market is a classically British attraction just 3 minutes walk away. With stalls of antiques, jewellery, furs, fresh street food and often performers amid the upmarket shops, this in an area which must be visited. Refuel in one of the charming cafes with a cappuccino and some artisan treats, or perhaps choose one of the many restaurants for an impressive dining experience. For cinema with a difference, the Electric Cinema offers leather armchairs, footstools and cashmere blankets. The Gate Theatre at Notting Hill hosts new and fringe plays before they make the West End.

The Elgin is a gastro pub on Ladbroke Grove is a friendly place for a bite to eat, and Ottolenghi is a well-known restaurant (and takeaway place) on Ledbury Road serving good Mediterranean dishes. Daylesford Organics is a lovely farmshop and café at 208-212 Westbourne Grove, serving fresh artisan breads and cheeses, fruit and veg, meats and much more. Galicia is a traditional Spanish restaurant (great for lunch) on Portobello Road, and there are also many great spots for falafel in the area. Try one of the Portuguese cafes such as Lisboa on Golborne Road - they are usually very good for coffee and custard tarts! Also on Goldbourne Road there is a top rated fish and chip shop 'George's', and a fab pizza place: 'Pizza East'. On market days there are also Moroccan street food stalls selling fresh grilled fish and salads.

“Much nicer than the description!”

My sister and I stayed in this apartment for a week in September. This was a really cute and functional apartment. I think it was much nicer than the listing and the photos even described it. It was very clean, and very attractively decorated. Everything we needed was provided in abundance, including a good selection of coffee, tea, cereal and other kitchen items. With two bedrooms (one double and one single bed) it works great for a two or three people. It was a close walk to the tube, two grocery stores, and the Portobello Market. Nina was very attentive and made sure that everything was satisfactory during our stay. If we're staying in London again, we will be certain to stay in this apartment again. Very highly recommended.
