“Quiet and relaxing place to stay in London”

Priceworthy with all amenities needed for a week in London. The flat is beautifully fernissad. The owner is very approachable and friendly. The Tube runs right outside the bedroom windows which is the only downside. But to all who are not light sleepers (like us) the place is perfect.

Nancy and Terry are easy to contact and very approachable. They ensured that we had a great stay in their flat. We used Baron's Court Railway Station on the Piccadilly Line from Heathrow Airport when we arrived. It was a five minute easy walk to the flat. West Kensington Railway, on the District Line) is about two minutes walk. Tesco Kensington Superstore on W Cromwell Road is a ten minutes walk away and ideal for the first major shop (if you have nothing on arrival). Nancy and Terry had the cupboard stocked with tea, coffee, sugar and cold water in the fridge. There are many and varied shops along North End Road. We strolled as far as Fulham. We really enjoyed our eighteen days stay and would highly recommend this flat and area to anyone.

This is the second time I've stayed at Nancy & Terrence's flat and I enjoyed it just as much as the first time. The flat has lovely high ceilings and it's fully furnished and equipped. The location couldn't be better - quiet street, nice neighbourhood, very convenient for local shops, bars and restaurants. Great for Piccadilly tube line to and from Heathrow airport and a stone's throw from West Kensington District Line. We'll be back.

Our 2nd stay at this apartment and was like home from home as our 1st stay. Beautifully decorated and had everything we needed including instantly working WI-FI. Thank you to Nancy & Terrance who make our stay so comfortable and easy after our 24 hour journey. Highly recommended great apartment & great location with transport links, shops and pubs less than a minute away.

We went to London to visit our daughter that is studying in London this semester. So we chose to stay here vs a hotel. There was easy access to the Tube, both the Picadilly line and District Lines. It was great to have a kitchen to cook in, and both a Tesco and Coop were within walking distance. Eating is very expensive in London, so this was a huge benefit. We had a great week.

Proprietors friendly and responsive. Washing machine, but no dryer. Not to worry, full laundry mat just around corner. Tube directly to Heathrow and 2nd Tube to Central London sites makes this location superb. Beds could be a little more comfortable. Flat is clean and bright. Neighborhood is safe---gives one a feel for ordindary living in London.

As this was our first rental of this kind we were not sure what to expect. All of our expectations were exceeded! This clean two bedroom, one bath flat had an ample living/eating area and a well stocked, fully appointed kitchen with dishwasher and clothes washer. All needs were met in the apartment and the furnishings and climate controls were comfortable for our stay. More importantly though -- location location location! Located very close to the Piccadilly and District lines (a 1-2 minute walk from the West Kensington Station, 4-5 to Barons Court) we had no problems getting where we needed to go easily. Most places, one train line, two max for what we wanted to do. Easy transit to / from Heathrow and St. Pancras for the Eurostar Train. Groceries, wine shops, multiple pubs and quaint local restaurants abound in this vibrant community. We felt very safe walking around the area. Finally, the flat owner Terry was waiting for us on arrival and made himself available for a few of our mundane logistics questions. He was very kind, courteous and helpful. Definitely recommended and plan to go back soon!

“A lovely flat”

From my initial contact with him, Terry was very responsive, polite and prompt in his replies. I had no problems in booking the flat with him or co-ordinating dates. His wife Nancy, who is lovely and friendly, met us at the flat to give us the keys, and explained some of the more vital things (such as how to handle our recycling and garbage, as we were staying for two weeks). The flat is in a quiet street with shops about a block away. It's within walking distance of two Tube stations - one that services the Picadilly Line (and a direct train to and from Heathrow) and the West Kensington station, which services two other lines and is about 1.5 blocks from the flat. This latter station is just a few tube stations away from the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Museum of Science and the Natural History Museum, and - upon returning back to the flat - a very short walk to the Tesco's (a grocery store). There are also a number of restaurants and a liquor store within a block or two of the flat, as well as a few coffee shops, etc. We had a very comfortable stay - felt safe in the neighbourhood and the building, and very comfortable in the flat. There's a large front room with the dining area, kitchen and a large couch - it provided more than sufficient space for the three of us. As I told Terry and Nancy, it was a lovely flat to "come home to" at the end of the day; Terry and Nancy retained some of those original architectural features and they are particularly lovely in that large front room, with its old wood floors and beautiful details. I will add, however, that there is a train that runs behind the building (as noted by Terry in his description of the flat). The first night, it was a bit of a surprise to two of us, but by the third night, I wasn't really conscious of it anymore; it's a soothing sound and stops around midnight in any event. For those who might have difficulty with it, pack some foam earplugs if you think it might bother you. I actually found it quite a comforting sound once I got used to it (by the third night). Terry and Nancy were both great to deal with, the flat is lovely, clean and has lovely little touches, and the kitchen has a dishwasher, full oven and stove-top, microwave, large North American-sized fridge with freezer, and a washer. For North American visitors, just a tip: Nancy told me to use the mini-sized wash for the washing machine, which I did, as otherwise it would 'take forever'. Well, that smaller wash took three hours - which isn't a problem, but was much longer than I'd expected, as my washer in Canada does a load in 45 minutes. The washer does do a good job of wringing those wet clothes, so I learned to start the wash during dinner, and hang the clothes on the clothes rack before we went to bed - no problem. Would I recommend this flat? Absolutely. In fact, if I knew I was returning to stay there, I'd be looking forward to it. (And if you do decide to rent the flat, do take a minute to walk up Baron's Court towards the Baron's Court tube station, on the same side of the road as the flat, and look for the blue plaques which confirm that two famous people used to live on this street. One is particularly well-known, but I'll keep it a surprise for those of you who rent the flat....)
