Renovated entirely in 2010 the flat is tastefully furnished with all new fittings and furniture. The large double salon is equipped with a comfortable sofa/chaise longe/double bed and provides dining space for 6 and a cozy sitting area for an evening nightcap by the Edwardian gas fireplace when the evenings get a bit nippy.

Centrally heated, this natural light-filled space is complemented at night by modern rheostat lighting.

Both double bedrooms have large, modern beds, accommodating up to 4 people comfortably. The sofa bed in the salon accommodates 2 more guests. Linens are provided.

The family bathroom has a full bath and shower as well as a wc and large sink. Towels are provided.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a Miele dishwasher, Bosch washer, Siemens dryer, Panasonic microwave, Diplomat oven, and a John Lewis fridge/freezer that is much larger than the usual British standard.

Dishes, glassware, cutlery, pots, pans and utensils are provided and accommodate up to 8 people.

The office area is equipped with a HP Photosmart Plus printer/copier.

This penthouse flat is on the top floor of a 5 floor building. It has its own private entrance which is accessible both by elevator/lift and a covered see-through stairwell.

The London region

The England that Shakespeare was lyrical about is within easy access of the city of London. You could visit Stonehenge on a day trip as well as drives or train rides to Windsor or Bath, Stratford-on-Avon is within easy reach, as is Warwick castle. If you are a gardener there are beautiful gardens available to the public everywhere in the area outside the city and since rivers abound, there are scenic routes to walk or hike or just drive to everywhere.

The glories of the city of light, Paris, are only 2 hours and 20 minutes away on the Eurostar from the newly remodelled St. Pancras station which is a wonderful sight all by itself. St. Pancras is only a 20 minute tube ride from the property,

St John's Wood is the location of Lord's Cricket Ground, home of Middlesex County Cricket Club and the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC), and original headquarters of the sport. It is also famous for Abbey Road Studios and the street Abbey Road, where The Beatles recorded, notably the Abbey Road album, the cover of which features the band crossing the road. Paul McCartney has owned a property in the area since the 1960s along with many other famous music and film celebrities.

There is no shortage of places to eat out - from traditional English pubs to Turkish, Mediterranean, Italian, French and Indian restaurants. There is even a New York style deli eatery.

There is well-stocked convenience store 2 minutes from the apartment which has reasonable prices. The street itself is tree-lined, the mansion block landscaped, and the closest bus stop is 3 minutes walk away which is wheelchair accessible; the closest tube station a 10-minute walk away.

The nearest London Underground stations are St John's Wood and Swiss Cottage on the Jubilee Line; Maida Vale, Marylebone Station and Warwick Avenue on the Bakerloo Line; and Baker Street on the Bakerloo Line, Jubilee Line, Hammersmith & City Line, Metropolitan Line and Circle Line.

"So quiet and yet so central"

This lovely rooftop apartment is in a very quiet street beside Lords cricket ground (just north of the Central Line) with easy access by bus and tube to Bond Street and Knightsbridge as well as St Pancras Station. All the equipment is in exceptionally good condition, like a top hotel, and the kitchen is well equipped which is very rare in furnished rentals. We loved staying here and would highly recommend it.

"What a wonderful holiday rental in St. John's Wood!"

Dear fellow travelers, My friend and I stayed at this Penthouse London Flat from March 7 through March 14, 2013. We took an airport car (arranged beforehand via email with Simply Airports) to the flat, where Siona met us. We received instructions on how to work all the appliances, including the gas fire in the lounge and the two tvs. This flat is so elegantly and comfortably furnished - the two beds were pure heaven! The kitchen has everything you might need; the whole flat has been thoughtfully arranged for the total comfort and convenience of guests. We found cheese, a welcome bottle of champagne, a bowl of fruit, and vase of tulips awaiting us. Thanks, Siona! Staying in St. John's Wood had been a dream of mine, a very expensive and classy area (Paul McCartney lives here), but I never thought I could afford it, when up came the advert for this place. The photo accompanying the ad is very accurate, with the exception of a very comfortable couch in front of the fireplace instead of the two chairs. The tube stop was about an 8-10 minute walk from the flat; Abbey Road is very close, and every day we saw people doing the "Abbey Road Walk," imitating the Beatle's Abbey Road album and cover. Lots of restaurants, bistros, the post office, grocery stores in the area; everything one needs for a comfortable and relaxing stay with no hassle. I wholeheartedly recommend this holiday flat - my son and his wife are already contemplating a trip to London and want to stay at this 5th floor penthouse flat. Yes, there is an elevator and there is a penthouse terrace which, in better weather, would have been a great place to have a drink and contemplate the view. Siona, thanks for everything!

"Home Away From Home"

Thank you so much Siona for helping us with the flat and making our stay as enjoyable as possible. It was our "home away from home" for 2 weeks and we couldn't have asked for more. Had everything we needed and was perfectly situated to where we wanted to be. Thank you again for all your hospitality, would recommend the flat to all!
