“location great but room for improvement in property”

Reviewed 12 Oct 2016

We could not fault the location of the flat ,but as we wanted a place to cook meals we found that the oven had no main door.so we could cook & this is something we should have been told when booking or given at a reduced price & a little more thought in comfort of the lounge. We also had to clean the shower drain as this was blocked & full of hair & flooded the bathroom..

Owner's reply: There are cooking facilities in the apartment, a working cooker and one oven. The second oven was damaged by a previous guest. These guests should have reported any problems they had with the shower drain whilst they were in the property instead of flooding the bathroom and it would have been dealt with, it is not a guest job to deal with drains. Most of the damage we get in apartments is because guests refuse to communicate when there is a problem and prefer to put it in a review instead. These guests asked if they could have the apartment for an additional 2 days, but did not want to pay the set price and this was declined. They also left items in the apartment after checkout which meant a lot of inconvenience trying to get this back to relatives on time.
