“Perfect location and fab stay at this cool mews holiday home”

Reviewed 15 Jan 2017

Perfect London get away for the family - tucked away down a quiet Mews lane but with literally everything from shops and cafes to underground to the National History Museum around the corner and within easy strolling distance. Clean and beautifully decorated, the sofa bed is very comfortable as a sofa and as a large double bed (a pleasant change from the functional solid sofas usually found in holiday homes!) - the one downside was we couldn't take the cool artwork with us!!!!

“Excellent location and comfortable house”

Reviewed 5 Nov 2016

We had our original TripAdvisor booking cancelled two weeks prior to our departure for London so we were lucky to have found this lovely house. It is very close to the Gloucester Road tube station, which is on the District / Circle and Picadilly lines, opening up most of the centre of London to tourists. We also made great use of the house's proximity to the Natural History and Science Museums - both of which are free, Kensington Gardens with the Diana Memorial Playground and also the choice of shops, cafés and restaurants around the tube station. The house itself was very comfortable and our 8 year old son was happy to relax on the massive sofa in front of the massive TV after a long day's sightseeing. There were a couple of things about the bathrooms that could be easily fixed - such as the door not closing properly and the toilet seat needing secured, but these are very minor things in what was a comfortable house. The owners were pleasant and easy to contact and kept us well informed about a problem with the cleaning of the house before our arrival. All in all, I would happily return to this house and would recommend it to others.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your feedback. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay. The location of the house is one its best points – it's a short walk to the museum district and easy to get just about anywhere in central London and the West End. It's also great that you were able to relax there in the evenings. We apologise for these niggles with the bathrooms. We are getting these fixed at the moment (they would have been dealt with last week, but we postponed this your late booking!). In any event, thank you for staying with us - we hope to welcome you back at some stage.
