As you can see from the pictures, it's a modern, beautiful 1-bed apartment on the first floor of an old fire-station, 1 minute walk from the Tate Modern. In the midst of all the arts and culture of the Southbank. You will not find anywhere closer to the middle of the Culture Mile than this flat!

But what does it have in it?

Double bed, bath, shower, washing machine, dryer, oven, hobs, dishwasher, fridge, freezer. Secure entry. Wood flooring, stone bathroom. Large Fitted Wardrobe in bedroom. Entry phone.

I will warn you that this flat is for those who like being in the middle of things - this isn't a quiet country lane, this is London with all its bright lights and glory.

Please note there is no allocated parking on Southwark St but there are lots of single yellow line places to park around the flat and free parking on weekends. I can get you daytime on-street parking on the street for £5 a day on weekdays.

CHECK-IN, CHECK-OUT

Check-in, check-out times are normally 6 pm for check in and 10am for check out, but we are flexible. Drop me a message if the current ones don't work for you.

TRAVEL

An Oyster card saves money on single journeys and has a price cap but a day travel card will be best as you're not staying long. Here is a link to the website that has all the info.

I think the ticket from heathrow should be bought separately as it is not zone 1 or 2.

Below are 4 options for travelling from Heathrow to the flat. All take around 1 hour but vary in price.

OPTION 1: 1 hour

Heathrow Terminals 1-2-3 Underground Station

Take the Piccadilly line towards Cockfosters Underground Station.

Get off at Piccadilly Circus Underground Station.

Journey Time: 46 min,

At Green Park Underground Station

Take the Jubilee line towards Stratford Underground Station.

Get off at Southwark Underground Station.

Journey Time: 7 min,

Then its a 10 minute Walk to Southwark Street or 2 minute taxi

OPTION 2: 50 minutes

Heathrow Airport Terminals 1-3 Rail Station

Take the Heathrow Express towards London Paddington Rail Station.

Get off at London Paddington Rail Station.

Journey Time: 17 min

Walk to Paddington underground station

Journey Time: 8 min

At Paddington Underground Station Take the Bakerloo line towards Elephant & Castle Underground Station.

Get off at Baker Street Underground Station.

Take the Jubilee Line towards Stratford

Get off at Southwark Underground Station.

Journey Time: 15 min,

Then its a 10 minute Walk to Southwark Street or 2 minute taxi

OPTION 3

The Piccadilly Line Tube from Heathrow is a good idea.

I would stay on the Tube until Holborn and then come up to the surface and hail a taxi in the Street.

The taxi will do the difficult bit of delivering you direct to the Door at a cost of about £10 for 10-15 minute journey

OPTION 4

You book you a taxi to pick you up.

No traffic= 45 minutes via M4 & A4

If heavy traffic = 1hour 15

Cost: £55 if booked in advance or £80 on the day

Option 3 takes 1 hour 10 total 55 minutes on the tube and 10 minutes taxi.

“PERFECT LOCATION, Lovely Appartment right by the Tate Modern”

Reviewed 17 Sep 2013

I didnt expect this place to be so well located and so cute. I had a training course near elephant and castle and walked it in under 10 and waterloo in about 4 minutes. Lovely apartment, modern with a very cool bathroom, double glazed so you don't hear much and some really nice restaurants nearby. Highly recommend and great value. I shall be back for my next course, no doubt!

Thanks - it was great to have you as a guest and glad you had a good stay!
