From the owner

A unique house in the Conservation area of Pimlico, close to Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace and the West End. The Tate Britain and the Thames are both five minutes walk away. There are excellent transport connections to the rest of London, tube, bus, train and London bike scheme all lie within minutes of the house.

Although most of the house is 150 years old, it has been sympathetically refurbished to combine modern appliances with original features. At the heart of the house is a handmade kitchen with exposed brick fireplace, corniced ceilings and modern appliances, including a dishwasher. The kitchen is equipped with seating for six.

There is a luxurious double reception room with Philippe Stark furnishings and Bang & Olufsen appliances, including a TV and CD player. There are three TVs in total.

For those wishing to entertain, porcelain, silver cutlery and Irish and Venetian crystal are provided. Access to caterers, cleaners and dry clean collection/drop-off can be arranged.

Sleeping accommodation comprises two smart double bedrooms each with access to a charming patio terrace, and a bathroom and shower room respectively. The rear terrace has extensive seating and a working water fountain. In addition, there is a top floor studio with a luxurious sofa bed, an ensuite shower room and an outside balcony with seating. The studio space is equipped with TV, extensive DVD collection, Wii console and an eclectic library.

There is both a cafe and a famous delicatessen within metres of the house. On the adjacent street, there is a full range of amenities, small but well stocked supermarket, dry cleaners, laundrette, Indian restaurant, friendly pub and colourful Tapas bar. There is a fantastic variety of shops, bars and restaurants near Victoria Station. Across the River Thames is Battersea Park, ideal for running, walking and tennis. Tennis raquets and balls are provided. Guest membership of a nearby gym can be arranged for £5 per day.

Victoria train, coach and bus stations are all within ten minutes' walk and Pimlico tube station is on the adjacent street. There is a row of 'Boris' bikes available for hire metres from the house.

The house is exceptionally quiet, yet moments away from the sights and sounds of Central London and all the city has to offer.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Sarah (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
